Hi Steve. On the Frances I just showed up at the Municipal albergues. only one day did I get to a town and everything was booked so I walked on to the next one. but this was pre pandemic now it's a different story.
I did this in September/October this time last year. I think I was actually in Belorado exactly a year. I booked a few times for private placed including a cool place in Belorado with a pool called Cuatro Cantones.
Great video, as always. Great tips, too, on data plans. What did you do to get in shape to walk the Camino Frances? That's a question I don't recall you having addressed before. Man, I wish it would rain here. I live in Southern California inland and it doesn't rain here except in the winter. It's almost a desert, but not quite.
I lived in LA for three years so I know what you mean. I really didn't train much for the Frances. I just stay active in my every day riding bicycle and hiking. I get to climb a tall mountain every now and then.
