Great video. I also dive with a side mount and use faber 12l / 200 bar bottles. I see you have Faber Hot Dipped 12 l / 200 bar. I wanted to ask if they are more resistant to abrasion, because my painted ones are not very durable and the paint peels off and then the bottle rusts in that place, I have to touch up the paint often.
Being a side mount diver , side mount setup /rig setup is so personal and even though I do mine slightly different in places I thoroughly enjoyed this video and always like to pick up tips ... Thank you
I love your videos. As a European I am using always DIN and like your explanation on it. On your video you explained that it is possible to swap sides on the Apeks regulator and you mentioned that you are planing to make a video explaining it. Is it already made or when do you think it will be ready? I can’t wait seeing it.
Yes and no Steve, rigging a tank for sidemount is very similar to rigging a stage or pony bottle. The main difference is that for sidemount the location of the lower bolt snap will be specific to fit the diver and harness used. The other difference is that some sidemount divers do not use an upper bolt snap. The bungee on sidemount harness is used to keep the top of the tank tight to the diver.

You mentioned swapping what side the hose goes in, will you be posting that video soon?

So is rigging a side mount the same as rigging a bail out bottle?
