I had a Ferrante And Teicher record that was badly warped but it still played on my portable with a ceramic cartridge.

Love this video! I'm getting set up and about to pull the trigger on being a seller. This was good motivation.

Im actually surprized on how well my record player plays through some scratches and such. But ive learned how to distinguish blemish scratches from deep grove scratches.

Will using a cheap phono to mp3 player mess up my ear for grading? I have Technics 1210s, but they take up too much room with the receiver and speakers for my apartment home online record office.

As long as you have a magnetic cart you should be fine...

ALWAYS inspect the record yourself! I had to learn the hard way! I picked up a "kiss-dynasty" record rated VG+ on the label! I put it on my turntable, and it was in very poor condition!

Ferran Melero make sure you get a stylus that is designed to scratch backwards! If it's just a regular stylus, you will damage it by doing that! Get a DJ stylus!
