I would have agreed on the Hobart being a good machine years ago when they built their name on quality products. Not anymore, since they moved their manufacturing over seas to save a buck. If you can’t afford the Hypertherm then just save your money until you can it is well worth the extra $300.
You are comparing the older Hobart 27i model to the Hypertherm. The new 27i Hobart version actually has 30 amps and a superior duty cycle. Notice the model number is NOW 500575 in place of the older 500565. So...is it worth a better duty cycle.... from Hobart... on the updated 27i for approximately $150 less.
what about the nock off on amazon for $200 even if they last few months you can buy other one later?
