The MiG-29 “Fulcrum” is a Russian-designed, twin-engine, supersonic fighter. First operational in the early 1980s, the Fulcrum is a “light weight” fighter, comparable to the American F/A-18 Hornet and F-16. Designed to work in conjunction with the larger Su-27 Flanker, the MiG-29 is armed with an internal 30mm cannon and both infrared and radar guided air-to-air missiles. For air-to-ground tasks, the MiG-29 can be armed with a large array of unguided bombs and rockets.
In addition to a sophisticated pulse doppler radar, the MiG-29 is also equipped with a passive Infrared Search and Track (IRST) sensor that allows the Fulcrum to detect and target enemy aircraft just based on target infrared emissions. This allows the MiG-29 to make stealthy attacks with no warning!
The Fulcrum is a highly-maneuverable fighter in a dogfight, and when paired with the helmet mounted sight and the AA-11 “Archer” air-to-air missile, it is a very lethal adversary.
The MiG-29 has also been widely exported and has served in many countries that include Germany, Iran, Ukraine, and Poland.

My fav airframe of all time!
For me still the 1 aircraft that just looks like it 'belongs' the most in the sky out of all the rest. A bit wobbly and clumsy on the ground but when in the air it just looks so so good.
Such an epic design and aerodynamic marvel.
About time it got some more DCS love.

@@branislavradojevic7898 su-34 is slightly different to other sukhois. Su-34 is twin seater (side by side) , instead of other Su's which are two seater (infront and behind) or single seater. Also, 34's are bit wider than other Su's.
@@branislavradojevic7898 They are not. The Su-33 is a single seat carrier based fighter, while the Su-34 is a twin seat (side-by-side) all weather strike aircraft. The nose is completely different, thats the easiest way to distinguish

unfortunately it's way too new to be modeled. It would be like doing a Eurofighter for DCS. It's just too classified

New to DCS world...just started and this is my first module purchase. Awesome aircraft! Just starting to train and already having a ball...
I had got MIG 29 fulcrum when I was a kid.... Took a lot of time figure out everything but absolutely loved it..... Even till date this is one of my favourite game. Now really looking forward to this one .
I love this aircraft! Fly's like a dream and carries a decent armament. I do wish there was better instant action missions though.
Amazing as always I've been looking forward to this update since I started playing DCS

The best plane. Epic and elegant design, great maneuverability and my country used them until 2010, so its nostalgic too.

Yeah, and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Pitch input is incredibly sensitive. So much so that you can barely control the aircraft.

@Eagle Dynamic: Digital Combat Simulator good job on the PFM! absolutely love it! Hope that new map you guys got wip is going well. hopefully you guys also sort out the framerate issue with VR! so much potential here!
@@getsideways7257 framerate issues is a matter of who you ask. I have a gtx 1070 i7-6700k oc 4.7 and 16gigs of ram and im seeing 90-120 no issues of course theres the stutters but i've been recommended picking up a sdd which im seriously considering.. In VR on the other hand; across the board everyone is capped at 45 fps.
MiG29 with Pratt & Whitney engines is another level..😁😁

If I may suggest, DCS on SSD and minimum 16gb of ram seem to do wonders more than anything else I’ve done to upgrade dcs. Besides the 2k monitor I just got ;)

no matter how cool fulcrums and flankers look in trailers, flying them is still limited to hotas and mouse/keyboard only. else there'd be many people building cockpits after them for full switchology enjoyment

I don't play DCS so I wouldn't know. However, two wrongs doesn't make it a right.
I only read like 10% of each changelog so i guess i miss a lot, not to mention they are quite different thing from official trailers. @TheRibbonRed give DCS a try, its great, especially in vr ;>
I don't have the specs nor the peripherals to try it lol. Maybe sometime in the future when I'm rich.
