- If you have a tachometer needle that's drifts but the engine RPM doesn't really change, let me show you how I have fixed three different tachometers. The process that I show to fix a tachometer that is not working Correctly is a very simple process. I'm gonna give this a try on my 95. Just recently I have had it running up 😢😢10000 to 1500 rpms more than normal . Also if I hit the trim up or down the draw on the alternator makes it drop 200 to 300 on the tach. Thanks for a great video.
