The word cannot be twisted to fit our lifestyle. Theres wrong and right. Its not a cafeteria.. you cant pick and choose this but not that. Doing what you want is willful rebellion. Rebellion is like witchcraft in God's eyes.

So how we are raised, the mental and psychological elements at play, what we were told and made to believe at a young age have nothing to do with it? Yes we grow we learn, and no one comes to save us, it may not be our fault but it is our responsibility...but trauma and abuse, lack of love, changes people at their core...I'm out behavioral patterns and thought processes come from our parents. This is scientifically proven. So coming from a toxic unbalanced household, would it not be harder to break that mold? To be the end of the generational cycle of trauma? Is there not more weight with that vs someone who was given what they was needed at each stage we went through? Just like Erikson is describes ? We have mental health and drug addiction crisis everywhere because it is hard to break that generational cycle that could have been passed down for decades.

You ever checked to see if any of your local churches ever have services online like youtube or fb? That may help for the time until you can get a car. Look on facebook for a car. I just got a car a few months ago for 2 grand when I crashed my other car.

I definitely need communion with other believers. I have some financial issues too and need to pay quite a bit of money to get my license back, so I have some time before I will be driving again, so this advice is crucial, Thank you brother! Can't break addiction, lost my chance of being a nurse...can't shake depression, parents hate me, God isn't in charge of earth, our free will is, and I've ruined my life already at 30 years old. If I died tomorrow, I don't know where I would go.
I’m gonna pray for you and I hope you know he loves you I’ve struggled with addictions I can’t even explain how I felt but I think I can relate Jesus died for us and god did give us free will but if you ask him right now, god please take my burden my addiction and pain and deliver me from temptation and sin he’ll do it it’ll take time as a process but through Christ we can do anything I’ll pray for you

Battles in the mind? Well there are several kinds. The one we battle with ourselves, whether mental or physical. Then there are spiritual battles that the enemy uses against us, and they all wreak havoc on us. I would read the book The Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer for more info. It helped me a lot in my walk

I don't feel as such, I don't feel that love that people say is there. Maybe it is because to me love is hate and suffering, and my father isnt a godly person. It is my responsibility to take control of my own life though, no matter who is at fault.
That’s right. God is love so all the feelings of love that you contribute to negative shows of emotion don’t come from the Father. Love is patient and love is kind. Trust me, the love is there. If he can do it for me, he will do it for you too

The closest church to me is an orthodox one which is wrong it has icons
I just told someone else that is in a similar situation to find like minded believers that also want to study the true gospel and you all get together and have your own personal service and Bible study.

You and I have very similar pasts.
I’m 42 now, I grew up in London, uk.
Sold drugs and was always in trouble with the law.
I now live in the Mediterranean and since living here in my country of origin my life has changed as I’m not around any other criminals or any of my old acquaintances. I put my faith into the lord around 8 months ago and repented from my sinful life and have deep dived into the word of god since then.
I am of Greek Orthodox faith but along my journey I have discovered that the orthodox faith is not entirely the right path of Christianity to follow.
This leaves me without a church to attend as all our churches here are orthodox.
I don’t know what to do as I want to be part of a church.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?

That’s a tough situation to be in. I would hate to give you wrong or incorrect information. What I would do is to find like minded people that are following true Christian doctrine and you get together once or twice a week and study the word. Also, you can find channels that have online churches on youtube and watch their services. God will bless your efforts

Yes. The Bible had military all throughout it. I think the military has a purpose and it can be beneficial and it is a good resource.

6:35-7:12 Are you saying we will still be punished for our sins even if we are saved? If we still are punished for our sins when we face God, doesn’t that go against what Christ did for us on the cross?
Christ paid the price for our sins and died because the wages of sin is death. So my question is, are we going to have to pay for our sins/ be punished with death (hell), will it be a small punishment, or will we not be punished at all?
There is still a judgement for our sins on this earth. We still go to heaven but God is righteous and he will not let sin slide. I don’t know to what degree. The Bible talks about receiving crowns in heaven or our position in the kingdom. I think our judgment may have something to do with our assignment. I’m not an expert. All I know is there will come a time when we all have to stand in front of God and give an account for every single we did and I’m totally terrified of that day
help I am having a problem with hating God
I understand that you may not be receiving what you want or you may be struggling with sin/life in general, but God is working according to His will, He may not be giving you something yet because you are not ready - if you receive it you might stray away from him. God also gives us tests so that we may endure and strengthen our faith in Jesus. Patience, kindness and self-control are some fruits that can be grown during a season of struggle. In the midst of all this, trust God’s plan for your life, He loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. That is why He sent his only son to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, He knew that we wouldn’t be able to escape by our own strength. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. Don’t forget that Jesus loves you!
I pray that God opens you heart and mind to receive His love and blessings in your life. We don’t always get what we want with God but we always get what we need when we are walking according to his plan and will. Pray for the Lord to show you what is making you have feelings that are against God
