You've done a wonderful job of maximizing your space! All of the modifications are great. You've both made it home sweet home! Thanks for taking us on your adventure.
Thank you! We have a whole series of RV Improvement videos if you are interested in watching more! They can be found in our Bigfoot RV Content playlist.
Heather's descriptions of the "does nothing" panel and the smart tv were great! Good idea putting the thermo probe down by the water tanks. Thanks for the tour. Look forward to seeing more of the Jeff mods in future videos.
They make some really nice tank gauges that are right on the money but man they think a lot of them ! They are very costly but the do what they say they are spot on no guessing what they say is how much water or sewage you have but at a steep price.
There is a truck camper blogger that’s all about truck campers and the trucks that haul them and they buy used and new truck campers and the talk about how much is in your fresh water tank and grey and black water tanks and I think for some reason they are marine indicators. Their site is Rose something I’ll have to try to find them .
Im not an Rv'er. But i enjoy watching RV videos. The Bigfoot is by far my favorite RV. They seem very well built and I love the layout. Have you used it in really cold weather yet. Im curious If it truly can be lived in year around. I have not ruled out buying one in the future.
Doug, thanks for watching. We purchased our Bigfoot in Jan 2019 and typically spend ~2 months in it each year. This year it's our full-time home! I think you can sleep comfortably in any 2500 series Bigfoot at temps down to at least zero degrees F (granted you will be burning some extra propane). We typically keep our thermostat set to 60 degrees F and the furnace will run once every 30 minutes or so for about 5 minutes at a time. Many people live in Bigfoot RV's in areas that get well below zero degrees F, but we don't have any personal experience in temps that cold. Bigfoot RV's are very well built and will last many years if properly cared for. We love ours. Keep watching our channel for more Bigfoot related videos coming soon.
We have 2022 R Q 25,purchased new,had some issues, and ended up fixing them my self. Dealer and manufacturer offer no support ,said they didn't have the parts or didn't call me back. So,down the road we went with our parts and tools.
We are sorry you had a bad experience. Our dealer (who is no longer in business) was never helpful to us, but we have always found Grant and the Bigfoot team to be great to work with.
You have managed to get an RV that is not a flaming pile of crap like 99% of the rest of the industry produces. Seriously though, very nice setup you have, you obviously know what you're doing.
Very nice trailer! We are looking to do an extended (6month trip) in a year or so. Any issues taking a 25’ into national parks? We were looking at something smaller (21’ Escape 5th wheel) robbery more mobile, but that 25’ is so spacious !
With our 25ft Bigfoot it is sometimes difficult to find a campsite large enough to fit, especially with our long-bed crew cab truck. Most places will accept a trailer that large, but you must in advance to reserve one of the larger spots. We also have to be cautious to find a spot with room for our truck. Overall, there have been very few parks that we could not stay in as long as we planned ahead.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful RV home. I love the Big Foot brand. I’ve looked at Oliver but it was a bit narrow and way too sterile hospital white, you can film an alien abduction movie where they experiment on humans then dispose of them in a cornfield a few days later 😂. BTW your walls look like the white fur Airstreamers call it mouse fur. We had that in our RV and my poor wife would sneeze and have a runny nose every camping trip. We took it all down and never again had any allergy issue. Have you found any nose irritation? And Lastly you both look in great shape, both handsome and beautiful, keep it up I’m sure it adds to your good health 😊
Oliver trailers seem to be the most elite of the fiberglass trailer market, but we agree they do seem rather sterile on the inside. We much prefer the home-like atmosphere of the Bigfoot. Besides, not looking for any alien abductions while out camping 😉. Just the ceiling is covered in mouse fur, but it hasn't given us any allergy issues. We've talked with many other Bigfoot owners and have not heard even one complaint about the mouse fur. Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching. We designed the entire DC electrical system and installed all the equipment ourselves. You can see more of the electrical system on another of our videos....Bigfoot Travel Trailer | Off-Grid Electrical System
Hello @rabbigabrielbenor6795, thanks for watching our content. I'm not aware of a composting toilet option for any of the Bigfoot RV's. That said, you should contact Bigfoot RV to see if they can incorporate it into a new unit. You never know 😄. Email bigfoot@bigfootrv.com they are very good at answering email if you give them a few days to respond.
Thanks so much for the Video on your Bigfoot RV. I have a Bigfoot on order, and the same model as yours. Could you comment on the Equalizer hitch some more, is it necessary? I asked the dealer if I needed a equalizer hitch and he stated it is not necessary, because of the lower profile of the Bigfoot and the tandem axles. My tow vehicle is a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500, dually. Thanks again for the tour, it really is hard to get information on the Bigfoot, and I am purchasing this trailer sight unseen. I would be interested in how you set up your batteries as well, if and when you have the chance.
Hello rustyfanblack and thanks for watching. Congrats on your upcoming Bigfoot purchase! Regarding the Equalizer weight distributing hitch......we are sure glad that we have it. We tow with a 2012 Ram 3500 single rear wheel truck. This is a very heavy duty truck, but the Equalizer hitch redistributes some of the hitch weight (better ride) and also adds sway control. The sway control part of it is a must in our opinion. Sometimes we are towing in extremely heavy crosswinds while crossing big mountain passes. In these conditions, you want all the help you can get. That said...our 10,000lb Equalizer hitch has allowed for absolutely no sway of the trailer. We even towed during a 74mph crosswind while crossing Colorado in a dust storm, with no sway and it felt very well in control (we reduced our speed to about 45mph of course). We will be shooting a video that showcases our 400Ah of Lithium batteries very soon. Feel free to email us or contact us thru our Blog at www.alaskanramtraveladventures.com if you have additional questions.
Could you measure the length and width of the street side dinette/couch please? We're trying to determine if it is long enough for an extra sleeping place, without having to convert the dinette into a bed. Thanks for your very informative videos.
The street side dinette/couch measures 76" (or 6ft-4in) long X 20.5" wide with the backrest cushions in place. If you remove the backrest cushions, the width increases to 25.5". Thanks for watching!
Do you (or do you know of other Bigfoot 25B25RQ owners) have any experience with boondocking (dispersed camping) with this particular model? Have you taken it off-road? Is it best NOT to take off-road?
We have done a fair amount of dispersed camping with the trailer, but we are very selective about where we choose to go. Much the same as an Airstream, the stock Bigfoot 25B25RQ has limited ground clearance when compared to most other trailer brands. This makes the Bigfoot trailer tow like a dream, but you have to be careful when on uneven terrain. Bigfoot does offer a raised frame option on a custom new trailer order, but we don't have that on our trailer. We don't regret our decision.
@MaxFriz They can be taken Boondocking easily enough but there are some concerns to keep in mind. I'd 100% get the frame flip done on new build. That gives you an extra 4" of clearance and is something they do all the time (You might find a used one that had that option). That would give you clearance for most things, or if you really want some serious clearance they can lift it even more. The other concern is going to be depending on how long you want to stay out. The battery life isn't huge unless you upgrade that, same with the water tanks (I threw a water tank in the back of the truck to supplement). So you'll want to make sure to have a generator or a LOT of solar, and finally depending on the weather a few extra propane bottles (but these are all things with any RV, not limited to Bigfoot at all). Personally for the Electrical, I'm in the process of installing a full EcoFlow Power Kit setup with 10kWh of battery and a SmartGenerator install in the front compartment. This will go with the Solar and Water in the Truck lets me stay out far longer, and if I want to I just run into town with the truck to refill water/propane.
Hello Bill and Vesna, thanks for following our channel. The last time we weighed our trailer the tandem axle weight was 6,840lb total. I don't have a way to measure the tongue weight, but I estimate it's between 700 and 900lb.
We are not aware of a powered stabilizer jack option from Bigfoot, but you may want to get in touch with Bigfoot if you are interested in getting a firm answer on that one. The easiest way to get one of these great RV's is to go thru a U.S. dealer. The dealer will do the importing for you. You can find the dealer (aka Outlets) on the Bigfoot RV website. bigfootrv.com/outlets
we have a 2021 bigfoot, same model. we picked it up in sept. 2020. we also have been living in ours ever since. it did not come with the fridge you have, is that standard now? where do you have the 3000 watt inverter? also, does the 4 lithium batteries power the a/c? if so, did you have to modify that a/c to work on battery power?
@casitacindy461, our Bigfoot is a 2019 model year. We special ordered it with the Novakool compressor-style refrigerator. This fridge is not standard today as far as I know. The 400AH battery bank is under the dinette seat on the entry door side. We did install a soft start on the air-conditioner, but our 3000 watt inverter did not require it.
Bigfoot 2500 series campers can be very comfortable in temperatures far below freezing. The brand is known for its ability to withstand the extreme temps when compared to other RV brands. That said, the window frames are made of aluminum, so they do conduct heat quite well and therefore can frost in extremely cold temps.
Just wondering what type of fan is over your bed. Is it a standard 3 speed or a Maxxair 10 speed? I've seen reviews on the Maxxair and they are supposed to be much quieter. Does Bigfoot offer a choice of fans?
We chose the Fantastic brand (3 speed) since we've had great luck with them in previous campers. I think Domestic now owns the Fantastic brand name. I think Bigfoot would likely install the Maxxair if that's what you prefer. They seem very willing to work with you on small special requests.
We put gutters over our windows, and it made a world of difference on the streaking! Our tour is not quite as in-depth as yours, but we were just getting started ... ua-cam.com/video/FdeeDV2gW90/v-deo.html

Built to last, unlike most other brands. So many others are false economy.
