(I would like to make clear that with this video I don't want to encourage emulation of the games displayed to people that don't own a real Dreamcast and games. The only purpose of this video is celebrating Dreamcast giving a glimpse on how its games would look on today's HD resolution. I will NEVER give details on how to set up emulators or links to games so please just don't ask. If you never experienced how awesome this machine is and you are intrigued by these games, remember that real hardware is ALWAYS the best choice and that DC emulation is FAR from perfect, despite what you may think watching this vid.)

Something about me: 34 yo, artist, gamer since I can remember with my first system being a Commodore C16. I love all genres of games, especially Beat 'em ups and arcades.
The game that changed my life was Shinobi (1986). Some of my all time favourites titles (not in order): Lunar Silver Star Story (SegaCD), The king of fighters '96-'97-'98, Streets of Rage 2, Final Fight, Toki, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Rez, Child of Eden, Ninja Gaiden(Xbox), Resident Evil 1 and Rebirth, Sega Rally 1&2, Street Fighter 2, OutRun 1&2, Space Channel 5 part 2, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, Illbleed, all the Shinobi series, Thunder Force V (Saturn version), Daytona USA, The house of the Dead 1&2, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Lionheart, Dead Rising, Kenseiden, Katamari Damacy, Ghouls'n Ghosts, Strider, Radiant Silvergun, Phantasy Star 4, Phantasy star online and many others.
My all time favourite system is Dreamcast followed by Saturn, Genesis, Neogeo, Amiga and PC-Engine.

It was new years eve. I was invited to a family party at my uncles house. I was bored so he allowed me to plug my Console to the tv in the bedroom. I started to play Sega Bass Fishing! 10 minutes Later, the entire party(15+ people) was in that small Bedroom. Shouting "Bite! Bite!" and "let me try!". It was madness!!! Like a scene from a bad 80s Movie. It was so much fun, even today my relatives say sometimes: "remember that day..." and smile. It was epic... thank you Dreamcast. (Sorry for my bad english)

I really can't believe I watched that whole video but I enjoyed it, almost brought a tear to my eye, I loved the Dreamcast and it was the first console is bought with my own money and I still play it to this day, and great video.

The games look so beautiful! it's just something about the polygons and textures on the Dreamcast that just looks amazing!
Not every game was poor glory, even back in the day, but a very big part of the games looked amazing, and quite a few still holds up very well - always considering 20+ years have gone by since the system came out
It gives me chills... I just bought a dreamcast in a nice little bundle the controller ports are messed up but everyone says it’s an easy fix I don’t want to wait a week for it to arrive I have my backups ready and Vmu batteries itching to be put in I will be starting with sonic adventures 2 then Shenmue while playing powerstone on the side man I’m 😆

If i'm not mistaken, there's a FPS game called "soldier of fortune" on dreamcast. I played it through the halfway until suddenly the disk was broken.
I own most of the games in this video, but my sweet memories on dreamcast will always be Skies of arcadia, Jet set radio, Rival schools and Shenmue 1&2 (of course)
Wish gaming had stayed this cool and not the corporate cheapass monster that it is right now...

PLEASE!!! i want to know if im the only one.... have you notice the part when he shows Sonic adventure 2... look at the rails textures.... its INSANE!!!!!!!!! im sure Sonic adventure 2 is top 5 in terms of graphics of the hole gen... only games like metroid prime for gamecube or halo 2 can be compared with it!!

Fantastic video...I just ordered a SEGA DREAMCAST from game stop my favorite games are Sonic Adventure 1&2 Dynamite Cop Zombie Revenge Capcom Vs Snk 1&2 Mark Of The Wolves Street Fighter 3 series Kof series Power Stone 1&2 and all the other great games...maybe one day Sega will be able 2 make Home Video Game Systems again!!!

Hi Thanks. I've got 7 Deamcast units (3 working) and 7 controllers, it's the nicest looking unit by far when it comes to home consoles, the controller is the nicest looking too- not the most ergonomic- which goes to the Xbox). I also like the PC Engine, japan version and the Hucard coz' cartridges have the art on it (like Atari 2600 which feel the most ergonomic); cartridges with huge art should make a comeback (in durable SSD) coz' physical things is better than downloads. I just wanted to add to my comment. As most of us are here because we all love the Dreamcast, it's my Fav console of all time. It was my favorite era of graphics and style. and my first console I paid for with my own money. In Canada this system if I recall cost Canadians 299 + tax But I Had to have it. it was worth every penny. My first 2 games were, Ready to Rumble! and Trickstyle and Sonic Adventure. I loved the games. Later on, when a a game called Jet Grind Radio came out, the sound and visuals blew my freaking mind. Yes the controls were a bit challenging but man what a beautiful looking game. ahh I can go on forever. So many amazing games on this system..

Awesome! I got my DC because the PS1 hardware was ruining the work of too many talented artists. The DC was the first time 3D really came into its own, and you can see it from how amazing these games look once you bring up the resolution.

Ah yes, the magical times before console developers matched their competitors specs so that todays spoiled 10 year old brats can play the latest COD together with their Netflix (where the content is generally tacky anyway). I cannot express how grateful I am to have lived those years as a kid because that same magic will NEVER come back.

Well... if you have a good motherboard I can assure you that is really easy to overclock FX chips.

Dreamcast is a fantastic console. Together with my saturn theese 2 last sega consoles are almost the only thing i play theese days. If you really like the Dreamcast then you should support Senile Team in their kickstarter with the game Intrepid Izzy.
