Wow, shocking to see this. I grew up here. It was my late grandparents hotel and then left to family who let it go to hell. My grandparents would be devastated at what it's become 💔
What a great film. Came across it because I was looking for info on this place as I stayed at this hotel when I was very little in the 1980’s, when my family spent a Christmas holiday there. I have such a strong memory of climbing up the staircase to the second floor for some reason, going thru the internal fire doors with the little square windows. I think the room we stayed in was one of the locked rooms thou. Thanks for posting.
what years di you go there ? I went with my family 1973 to 1977 for fortnight summer holidays , and visited often after that 1978 to 1985. Remember those creaky old narrow back staircases from the kitchens area up to second floor ?
I used to go down there every year with my dad’s side of the family. Shame it has been abandoned for a while. I think I read somewhere that it is going to be renovated at some point and will hopefully reopen someday
Fingers crossed , it's a architectonically good looking building , with nice vistas. Hopefully it does open as a hotel and not flats. Thanks for watching.
It closed in 2018, we used to go there every year and my grandparents were quite friendly with the owner. The hotel was originally sold and was meant to be turned into apartments but I think the plans fell through during lockdown. The hotel has since been sold again and sounds like it’s going to be restored and used as a hotel again in the future
@@isaacscottmilson828 It is in a little Bay/village Portwrinkle in Whitsand Bay, Cornwall, the house was moved brick by brick to its current position from Thankes Park, Torpoint, the grounds are now a public park know as the Lawns in Torpoint, around this area, Rame Peninsula are many abandoned neopoleonic forts
Ahh so cool, my best friend and I used to sneak in through the patio doors to swim in the pool of this hotel back in the 90s when we were kids
Awesome watch 👍 ⌚ 👌
That place is stunning especially that beautiful window and staircase. Great explore 👌
Thanks , really enjoyed filming it. Grandest hotel I've explored so far.

Can you tell me please where it is? My guess is it's on the south coast of Cornwall, but am I right, please tell.
