  • In this video, you'll learn how to disrupt your inner critic, or inner saboteur, by using the Positive Intelligence program's PQ reps.
    The inner critical voice lives in the parts of your brain that are associated with quick-reactions, negativity bias, stress and ensuring your survival. These contrast with the slower-reacting, positive outlook, and executive thinking parts of your brain that can ensure your long-term wellbeing.
    A PQ rep is like a modern mindfulness exercise that enables you to short-circuit these stress-dominated brain regions, so that the slower-acting, but positive and more powerful executive thinking parts of your brain can take charge of the situation.
    PQ reps come from Shirzad Chamine's Positive Intelligence program, and PQ is short for Positive Intelligence Quotient.
    PQ measures the percentage of time your mind is operating in a calm, executive thinking-mode driven by positive emotions like empathy, creativity, and curiosity. That's in contrast to operating in a stressed and emotionally-reactive survival mode driven by negative emotions like anxiety, shame, guilt, and anger.

    I told my clients to wait a second while I rub my fingertips together before I explain why my deliverables were late but it didn’t help
