An air adjustable mattress is a great option for couples and people that want the ability to change the firmness on each side of the mattress. An air adjustable mattress has a pump that pushes air into chambers on each side of the bed. We found that airbeds with multiple air chambers on each side provide the best support.
One of the major differences between the Sleep Number and Air-Pedic is the air chambers on each side of the mattress. Sleep Number uses rubber for the construction of their air chambers. The problem with this is, rubber over time, will fissure and crack. Mold was a top complaint with Sleep Number mattresses but they have since started spraying a coating of anti-mold treatment to their chambers which will help in preventing mold to grow overtime. On the other hand Air-Pedic uses 100% Medical Grade, urethane for their air chambers. This makes it inherently dust mite and mold resistant....

Hey just a quick thought.... you can add subtitles to the video so you don't need to add sign language. Probably a bit more beneficial for both SEO and the vast majority of people since you've now given UA-cam much more information about what is in your video by inputting everything you say.

Think the review was one sided. I have had my Sleep Number Queen Size ILE for years now. I have severe back and shoulder problems. This bed has given me the best relief I have found in a bed. The only complaint I have is I got the flex 2 but, wanted to add the foot warmer. Was told you cannot add it you have to order the flex 3, that is the only difference between the flex 2 and 3. I just ordered a large back warmer and laid it out at the foot of my bed and it works great!

Thanks for this, not only did I appreciate the info on the beds as I'm just about to order an iLE (on sale 50% off) but it was nice to (try to) brush up on my ASL. Was fluent in college 20 years ago as a roommate's girlfriend was deaf. Really miss sign, one of the coolest things I've ever done was go to a deaf party. As one of only two hearing there it was very cool (I think you know what I mean!)

The center foam has been a problem in the past, I prefer not having it with the airbeds unlimited bed. Which I've had 7 years now, other than the motor recently going bad, it's been great. And yes, I bought a new motor, prorated price was under $400, cheaper than another bed.

Better is always personal preference. In our opinion, out of the air adjustable mattresses we tested, Airpedic was the superior model. Sleep Number does offer sleep tracking and auto adjusting, which we felt was not always consistent/accurate.

Can you as a consumer please give me your Pros & Cons about the bed? Is the hard, medium are soft. Anything you would change about the bed? Thank you...

randy smith thanks for reaching out! Air-Pedic offers dual adjustability which uses a three chamber system which eliminates mid section sagging, you also have the option of an airflow transfer system which allows for a more comfortable temperature through out the night. If you are looking predominantly for sleep tracking or automatic adjustments through out the night it unfortunately doesn’t support this at this time. That being said we really appreciated the straight forward control and it has one of the most luxurious plush foams we have had the pleasure of sleeping on! The bed is adjustable so it can be soft to firm depending on how much air you allow into the air bladders, this is one of the great features of owning an Air-Pedic! As always for the full run down with all the information please check out our website, aslreviews.com, thanks!

Hi Karen! Unfortunately, we haven't had a chance to review the Personal Comfort air beds. We are, however, very familiar with Air-Pedic. Having reviewed a number of adjustable air mattresses we've definitely seen that air beds with more than one chamber perform better than those with a single chamber on either side of the bed. This allows you to better target the pressure relief you need most, where you need it most. We also felt that having a single air chamber creates a bit of a hammock effect. Air-Pedic models are made with 3 chambers on either side which eliminated this problem for us. Hope this helps! Please drop us a comment on which bed you choose and let us know how you're liking it. Thanks!

I appreciate the review. However I own the sleep number I8 and have been a customer since 2005. I notice that although your comments are somewhat true of what appears to be missing from the sleep number i8 it has been improved which is why you don't see all the parts that use to be in the older models. The new I8 offers much more and better support throughout the whole bed as well as the middle so you will get even support. The Air Pedic appears to be using Select Comforts i.e.,, Sleep Numbers old technology. Also all sleep number smart beds are not self installed they are delivered and installed for the customer. As for the warranty sleep number makes such quality beds they noticed there was no need for a 25 year warranty anymore, people simply where not using their warranty past 15 years if at all. I also disagree with the comment about laying on a bed in the store will not tell you if the bed is good for you or not. if you spend 15 minutes laying on a a sleep number and pay attention to how your body responds you will know if it is the right fit, just like you would when you walk into a house your going to buy for the first time.; you know if it feels like home or not. Sleep Number also makes their beds in the USA out side of the zippers. Sleep Number will also work with you, if you find that the bed is not a good fit during your 100 day trial, the customer service is amazing. Which is why I have stayed with Sleep Number for over 16 years! Oh and let me ad there is no nose at all coming from the air pump when you adjust your bed. Lastly the smart technology of Sleep number reads your body while sleeping so if you move and it notices your number needs to adjust, it adjusts automatically all while you are sleep so you get a comfortable sleep the whole night and wake up refreshed. Love A Long Term Sleep Number Owner :)

Hi Paul, thanks for watching! Yes, I would recommend the Air-Pedic 500 or 600, which would be firmer , or the 850, which is a bit softer but gives a buoyant feel. Pretty harsh words. You can't really fault a review that says they feel another air mattress company (Air-Pedic) has developed a better adjustable air mattress. The better side support of the Air-Pedic and the ability to independently adjust the middle chamber for the heavier part of your body are better selling points in my opinion. If you own a business or affiliated with a business, your job is to market the product and highlight why the product is superior. No harm in that and most people actually appreciate a comparison where one product comes out on top.
