Amen. Yes it was Jack Hyles's Roman Road. My church pushed this in the mid 70s. Leading someone to Christ meant getting them to repeat the "sinner's prayer". Rarely did anyone of these that repeated that prayer show up in church the next sunday. And when you went to follow up on them they had no instrest in talking to you again. My youth pastor at the time who was a saved man told me not to worry about no one showing up for church and assured me that if they repeated that prayer they were saved. Thank the Lord today I know better because of people like you Bro.Breaker.

Amen I was taught the same thing and did not feel saved until May or June of this year. I prayed all the time the little save me prayer and still felt nothing. And I will be 55 tomorrow. Praise God I found all those who preach saved by grace and I understand it now and bible is more clear and I feel close to the lord and less stressed and more peace and safety. Had to add the safety, lol but no really more peace

I myself lived like this for many years in a very legalistic church until I was brought to your channel out of prayer to the Lord to show me the truth and I believe the Lord purposefully brought me to you that was when I finally understood and believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1:4 KJV) when I got saved was 12-13-2019 ever since that day I have had more peace, joy and now the holy spirit convicts me more when I am tempted into sin I also thirst more for the word of God... which growing up in religion my whole life I never once read the bible for myself I was trusting in man not the Lord I also seem to understand the bible a little bit better so yes it is a heart thing and I know that from experience... I now have moved south and I attend a Baptist church down here but I now understand it's not church, man or anything I do that can save me.🙏❤

You're a very good man Mr. Breaker, and I appreciate all your study and hard work, and that you genuinely care about people. I hope we all end up happy and living forever in paradise one way or another, because i guess that's the goal. Our lives on this crazy world are such a miraculous blessing, but a lot of things are certainly very confusing. But one way or another, I do have faith that we'll all make it in the end, especially if we have a pure and caring heart like yours. And I guess that's the whole purpose of the Roman's Road and trying to save every living soul from eternal damnation.
Another wonderful teaching...I know was was not saved until you taught me about the precious blood, I believed that Jesus is the Son of God..I believed He died and was buried and rose Himself from the grave but I did trust in the precious blood of Christ...I was always doubting my salvation because I kept sinning which I hate myself for. And then the lightbulb went on exactly like you experienced then I received and now I trust with all my being. Now even my 6 year old daughter understands that she Jesus shed His precious blood for our sins

Can't recall how much was taught on the blood later, it's been since the early 90's when I left. I've lead worship in the Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Baptist denominations too. I saw the Jesus movie as a teenager, and went on to say the sinner's prayer, it was for me a declaration of faith in what Jesus did for me. To this day I am grateful for Jesus making me his child.
Propitiation: I heard an old time preacher using the lightening rod as and example. He told the story about a traveling salesman selling them to farmers. He would tell the farmer when the thunderstorm comes if you have the LR by your house the rod would take the power and viciousness of the lightening sending it into the ground thus keeping the house from being destroyed.

Great overview and history of the Romans road. Many people in the early days of the Romans road really did get saved. Hyles did turn it into a slimfast breakfast in a way. I was a student there in the 80's. I talked to people that said they said the " sinner's prayer" many times over because the Roman's road was forced upon them as one selling a used car. This was a Hyles Anderson's college standard method of soul winning. I've seen many of those involved through the years who dropped out of the ministry and the faith altogether. The reason being is the method or the salesmanship were relied upon more than the Holy Spirit.

Brother Breaker I agree with this research, because all my life I have been in and out of church's ,and pastors always say come down to the alter and give your life to Jesus so i did it ,but Jesus Christ didnt accept me for salvation at that time. Even though my grandfather was a Baptist minister ,i was not saved even when I memorized John 3:16 ,I was lost and still in darkness. My day of salvation came when I lost everything, my children included but that is what killed me, but though i was not seeking him ,Jesus had mercy on me November 15 2008 at 8am and revived me to life, i was not in a church Building, i was not looking for help from anyone, so this suffering lead Jesus Christ to having mercy on me. Now i am saved and it was not by my works, the gifts i recieved were from our loving Father
If there is there anyone out there that doesn't have Jesus Christ as there Lord and savior, believe this prayer with all your heart and you will have everlasting life. Believe that the Son of God Jesus came and lived in Earth, then died for or sins on a tree. After that he stayed in the underworld for 3 days , then was raised from the dead by the power of the Father. Now he is reigning with power and glory at the right hand of the Father. God bless.

While describing the gospel in 1 Cor 15:1-4, Paul said that one can believe the gospel "in vain" (vs. 2). Sadly, this is the case with many "Christians" today. Simon in Acts 8 is one example of this...
Paul was addressing a heresy that was giving the Corinthians problems, namely the belief that there is no resurrection of the dead (as the Sadducees believed). He explains latter in the chapter what it means to "believe in vain" in context of what is stated previously in verse 2. 12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Long beautiful story short, front to back, the holy bible is about true love, creation, disobedience, warning signs for the disobedient, faith, salvation... And, also punishment for continuous disobedience... I love the bible 💖
I agree there's SO much more to presenting salvation to your church body and to those people in your life that are salvation prospects. I was trained as an evangelist and I learned a much fuller presentation that takes into account a lot more true theology. BUT..... there are times when you may only have 5 minutes with a person and you need a method to peak their interest and give a basic understanding of God's plan of salvation. While I feel "Roman's Road" is certainly sparse and I don't believe a mere prayer saves I do feel its a succinct, bright start for those outside the realm of excess time.
I could tell at first glance that the "Roman Road" was totally off because there's no mention of the Blood Atonement. I also went up several verses from No. 4 which was Rom 10 13 and read those and it talks about confessing with the mouth several times. That's *definitely not* how you get saved! You're saved by the Blood!!
For me, Romans is very difficult to read and comprehend due to the sentence structure. Sometimes I have to ask myself, "What exactly is Paul saying here?" First, of course, you have to establish faith in an unbeliever. Someone not familiar with Shakespearian English has enough difficulty reading the KJV, which I believe is still the best version. That said, you also have to answer comments such as Jesus being a myth or God a fairy tale, and the bible "being corrupted through the centuries." A basic grounding in apologetics is necessary these days. If you can't bring a person to believe in and have faith in Jesus' gospel as set forth by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, you first have to break that barrier. I have no idea how modern churches train believers in witnessing for faith in Jesus' finished work on the cross, because most of the churches in my town are very woke or Catholic and I tend to gravitate to Brother Robert Breaker and Pastor John Barnett videos for grounding my knowledge. I also watch Ray Comfort videos from time to time, and study his methods as well. But, then again, I lived for many years in Huntington Beach before becoming a desert dinghy, and understand the local culture. I'm not called to preach to strangers, but I do leave tracts all over town (even placing them inside the covers of the teen porn at the local library), and I buy up used or inexpensive bibles to mail off to Love Packages so they can fulfill their ministry of sending bibles to those in spiritual need across the world. God bless those of you with the gift and talent for bringing complete strangers to salvation. Now, thanks to this video, I have many more verses to study and memorize.

The same way male and female children are equally loved by their parents but have different responsibilities in the household. Men are called to lead, women are called to submit. It was not supposed to be so in the beginning. But Eve was deceived by satan and convienced Adam to disobey God by consuming the forbidden fruit.

Certain stances on the Word cannot seem to include the verses I bring up to ask if their stance is true. Baptist is the reason I found non denomination churches who don't have laws tied to salvation yet I still couldn't grasp it cause of my beliefs impeded. It took way to long. So glad I did not die before I found out what salvation meant
Oh boy. I was born again by a track. And it used the book of St. JOHN. Not a chick track! I wish i had kept that track. yes. I learned about the Roman roads once I was 17...1 year after getting saved...I learned really quick in a Baptist church when I was 17. And when i got saved...i read the book of St john ...for a good 45 minutes. I did not rush it. And i didn't have anyone with me saying "pray after me". I only had my King James Bible...and the track And I spend time reading St. John. And I repented....turned my heart toward God and had a change of heart. It was not until I was introduced to the IFB about 6 months after I hot saved. Interesting how this happened. My step dad's coworker- Jerry- had a BURDEN For my step dad. He called his Baptist pastor to send someone to see my step dad Peter. Jerry's. ...pastor was a n Independent Fundamental Baptist! And we had a IFB church in town. And lo and behold...tim (the pastor of the church here) came over and meet my step dad to lead my step dad to Christ...in 1991 Maybe it was 3 months after I was saved. I'm still best friends with Tim's daughter....I never forgot the was I got saved through the book of St John. That track took me to other verses in ghd bible. Eph 2:8-9. There are so many verses.

Amen. Yes it was Jack Hyles's Roman Road. My church pushed this in the mid 70s. Leading someone to Christ meant getting them to repeat the "sinner's prayer". Rarely did anyone of these that repeated that prayer show up in church the next sunday. And when you went to follow up on them they had no instrest in talking to you again. My youth pastor at the time who was a saved man told me not to worry about no one showing up for church and assured me that if they repeated that prayer they were saved. Thank the Lord today I know better because of people like you Bro.Breaker.

I myself lived like this for many years in a very legalistic church until I was brought to your channel out of prayer to the Lord to show me the truth and I believe the Lord purposefully brought me to you that was when I finally understood and believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1:4 KJV) when I got saved was 12-13-2019 ever since that day I have had more peace, joy and now the holy spirit convicts me more when I am tempted into sin I also thirst more for the word of God... which growing up in religion my whole life I never once read the bible for myself I was trusting in man not the Lord I also seem to understand the bible a little bit better so yes it is a heart thing and I know that from experience... I now have moved south and I attend a Baptist church down here but I now understand it's not church, man or anything I do that can save me.🙏❤

Grace replaces condemnation of the law. But the law stands. It is never profitable to break the law and many people trample the pearl of grace until they have been arrested by the (Ten) our school master.
To repent means turn away from (Stop) practicing) But where mortal flesh covers bone, Sin-R-us. Gods moral law makes the arrest. The Gospel sets us free!
Many people know that but what they don't know is this.
Psalm 7:11-12 God is a (righteous) judge. Telling an honest judge you're sorry won't set you free and you can bet it won't work when we're summoned to appear in heavens court before the living God.
Therefore repenting alone never saved one soul. Repenting can't make us sinless. But when we repent we do sin-less and we're no longer playing the hypocrite Jesus despised.
There are only two types of people mentioned in the Bible. The "Just" & the "Unjust". For those "justified" by the blood of Jesus Salvation will remain. Yet reward will be given and taken away.
But the "Unjust" will be judged to the fullest extent of the law. God will literally throw the book at them. They are without excuse. By their own admission of omission they will be consigned to hell. Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
There's no greater joy than what God offers in exchange for the sin of unbelief
and works of iniquity. We must leave behind intellectual belief in exchange for foundational belief in Christ the Rock! Enter the old path under the narrow gate of obedience to the gospel by grace alone through faith in the finished work of the cross alone.
If there we're any other way "His" sacrifice wasn't necessary!

You're a very good man Mr. Breaker, and I appreciate all your study and hard work, and that you genuinely care about people. I hope we all end up happy and living forever in paradise one way or another, because i guess that's the goal. Our lives on this crazy world are such a miraculous blessing, but a lot of things are certainly very confusing. But one way or another, I do have faith that we'll all make it in the end, especially if we have a pure and caring heart like yours. And I guess that's the whole purpose of the Roman's Road and trying to save every living soul from eternal damnation.
Another wonderful teaching...I know was was not saved until you taught me about the precious blood, I believed that Jesus is the Son of God..I believed He died and was buried and rose Himself from the grave but I did trust in the precious blood of Christ...I was always doubting my salvation because I kept sinning which I hate myself for. And then the lightbulb went on exactly like you experienced then I received and now I trust with all my being. Now even my 6 year old daughter understands that she Jesus shed His precious blood for our sins

ANOTHER FANTASTIC MESSAGE BROTHER BREAKER 😁 I lead worship in a Southern California Calvary Chapel church in San Diego, and they did the "123-repeat after me" method. Can't recall how much was taught on the blood later, it's been since the early 90's when I left. I've lead worship in the Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Baptist denominations too. Most of those DON'T even give any kind of invitation to receive Jesus as their Savior at a worship service. The Baptist was an exception, a few times. ✝😉

Jesus’ resurrection proves that He is able to save all who believe, just as He promised us. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” This simple verse is the key to living forever.
Faith begins with an acknowledgement of our need for Jesus’ payment for our sins upon the cross. Romans 3:23 says that “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Our need of a Savior is universal. Because all have sinned, everyone needs Jesus (John 14:6); there are no exceptions. He alone paid the debt for our sins.
Some mistakenly think they can compensate for their sins with good behavior. In Ephesians 2:8-9, the Apostle Paul tells us that such is not the case, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one my boast.” Eternal life comes by grace through faith; saving faith rests solely on Jesus and His sacrifice for our sins.

Propitiation: I heard an old time preacher using the lightening rod as and example. He told the story about a traveling salesman selling them to farmers. He would tell the farmer when the thunderstorm comes if you have the LR by your house the rod would take the power and viciousness of the lightening sending it into the ground thus keeping the house from being destroyed.

Great overview and history of the Romans road. Many people in the early days of the Romans road really did get saved. Hyles did turn it into a slimfast breakfast in a way. I was a student there in the 80's. I talked to people that said they said the
" sinner's prayer" many times over because the Roman's road was forced upon them as one selling a used car. This was a Hyles Anderson's college standard method of soul winning. I've seen many of those involved through the years who dropped out of the ministry and the faith altogether. The reason being is the method or the salesmanship were relied upon more than the Holy Spirit.
I am by no means arguing, there is enough of that in the world, I have always used Romans 10:9-13, verses 9-12 goings into a lot more detail than just verse 13.

Brother Breaker I agree with this research, because all my life I have been in and out of church's ,and pastors always say come down to the alter and give your life to Jesus so i did it ,but Jesus Christ didnt accept me for salvation at that time. Even though my grandfather was a Baptist minister ,i was not saved even when I memorized John 3:16 ,I was lost and still in darkness. My day of salvation came when I lost everything, my children included but that is what killed me, but though i was not seeking him ,Jesus had mercy on me November 15 2008 at 8am and revived me to life, i was not in a church Building, i was not looking for help from anyone, so this suffering lead Jesus Christ to having mercy on me. Now i am saved and it was not by my works, the gifts i recieved were from our loving Father

While describing the gospel in 1 Cor 15:1-4, Paul said that one can believe the gospel "in vain" (vs. 2). Sadly, this is the case with many "Christians" today.
Simon in Acts 8 is one example of this...
Paul was addressing a heresy that was giving the Corinthians problems, namely the belief that there is no resurrection of the dead (as the Sadducees believed). He explains latter in the chapter what it means to "believe in vain" in context of what is stated previously in verse 2.
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
@@chadmeidl1140 - I highly doubt that believing "in vain" is limited to a lack of faith in the resurrection. Simon in Acts 8 believed the gospel yet was not saved according to Peter due to bitterness in his heart toward God. This is where a genuine belief from the heart comes in...

@@brux3822 Obviously you do not understand what is is of work and what is of grace. Paul's gospel is not what Jesus preached to the Jews in his early ministry. Your opinion of giving up anything in your life for Jesus is an opinion, not what scripture states in Paul's letters to the Church. Devils and fallen angels cannot be redeemed as they are not men. That is why Jesus Christ was born a man, yet God.

Where is scripture for this? Paul considered himself a sinner, and that sin dwelt in his body. Was there things Paul did not give up for Jesus, was he an "unbeliever"? Peter denied the Lord, Paul went to Jerusalem against the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I agree there's SO much more to presenting salvation to your church body and to those people in your life that are salvation prospects. I was trained as an evangelist and I learned a much fuller presentation that takes into account a lot more true theology.
BUT.....
there are times when you may only have 5 minutes with a person and you need a method to peak their interest and give a basic understanding of God's plan of salvation. While I feel "Roman's Road" is certainly sparse and I don't believe a mere prayer saves I do feel its a succinct, bright start for those outside the realm of excess time.

I could tell at first glance that the "Roman Road" was totally off because there's no mention of the Blood Atonement. I also went up several verses from No. 4 which was Rom 10 13 and read those and it talks about confessing with the mouth several times.
That's *definitely not* how you get saved! You're saved by the Blood!!
For me, Romans is very difficult to read and comprehend due to the sentence structure. Sometimes I have to ask myself, "What exactly is Paul saying here?"
First, of course, you have to establish faith in an unbeliever. Someone not familiar with Shakespearian English has enough difficulty reading the KJV, which I believe is still the best version. That said, you also have to answer comments such as Jesus being a myth or God a fairy tale, and the bible "being corrupted through the centuries." A basic grounding in apologetics is necessary these days.
If you can't bring a person to believe in and have faith in Jesus' gospel as set forth by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, you first have to break that barrier.
I have no idea how modern churches train believers in witnessing for faith in Jesus' finished work on the cross, because most of the churches in my town are very woke or Catholic and I tend to gravitate to Brother Robert Breaker and Pastor John Barnett videos for grounding my knowledge. I also watch Ray Comfort videos from time to time, and study his methods as well. But, then again, I lived for many years in Huntington Beach before becoming a desert dinghy, and understand the local culture.
I'm not called to preach to strangers, but I do leave tracts all over town (even placing them inside the covers of the teen porn at the local library), and I buy up used or inexpensive bibles to mail off to Love Packages so they can fulfill their ministry of sending bibles to those in spiritual need across the world.
God bless those of you with the gift and talent for bringing complete strangers to salvation. Now, thanks to this video, I have many more verses to study and memorize.

The same way male and female children are equally loved by their parents but have different responsibilities in the household. Men are called to lead, women are called to submit. It was not supposed to be so in the beginning. But Eve was deceived by satan and convienced Adam to disobey God by consuming the forbidden fruit.
Most Christian men are not permitted to preach or work as "bishops" either...

Certain stances on the Word cannot seem to include the verses I bring up to ask if their stance is true. How many crowns will we have in heaven, looking like the answer to that is how close we are to the truth.

Baptist is the reason I found non denomination churches who don't have laws tied to salvation yet I still couldn't grasp it cause of my beliefs impeded. It took way to long. So glad I did not die before I found out what salvation meant

yes. I learned about the Roman roads once I was 17...1 year after getting saved...I learned really quick in a Baptist church when I was 17. And when i got saved...i read the book of St john ...for a good 45 minutes. I did not rush it. And i didn't have anyone with me saying "pray after me". I only had my King James Bible...and the track
And I spend time reading St. John. And I repented....turned my heart toward God and had a change of heart.
It was not until I was introduced to the IFB about 6 months after I hot saved. Interesting how this happened. My step dad's coworker- Jerry- had a BURDEN For my step dad. He called his Baptist pastor to send someone to see my step dad Peter. Jerry's. ...pastor was a n Independent Fundamental Baptist! And we had a IFB church in town. And lo and behold...tim (the pastor of the church here) came over and meet my step dad to lead my step dad to Christ...in 1991
Maybe it was 3 months after I was saved. I'm still best friends with Tim's daughter....I never forgot the was I got saved through the book of St John.
