Explained it so nicely. I always think that bad math instructors tell you just how to calculate, but good ones tell you why doing all of these. He definitely belongs to the latter camp. What is more, guy also looks cute.
matrix is an information structure and matrix multiplication is doing x*v=y but on a bunch of data. that is why it is used to do rendering operations as a sinle operation when multiplying it is going to do it all across an image. matrix are wonderfull and are the perfect evolution for descartes analythics geomatry. cause descartes deals with ecuation such as y=mx+b but linear algebra goes with matrices of the same forma augmenting the amount of computations and abstraction that can be made of the space. the same analisis is donde in solving einstein ecuations as you represent a state as a matrix and other state as another matrix. that is so fucking awesome. want to know more aout matrices
I have a question, why not have the matching properties, such as d and e in the first example, be both rows or both columns? I believe this would make matrix multiplication simpler. Perhaps this is just another convention in math? Thanks.
