Although it is good to get off dependant drugs, God loves you even if and when you mess up.. I am praying for you. Hold onto your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through it all .

I recommend a book titled "Saved Without A Doubt" by John McArthur. It's about how to know if you're saved or not.

I thank my who told us that Jesus was coming soon and to give up everything because nothing matter except Jesus. That back in 1973 my passed away 3 years 😢 ago. I thank God for his love for me.

As an ole hippie who was saved by grace, bands like Petra, Rez Band, and others, helped me bridge the gap between the world and the Lord. I miss the music from those late '60-70's bands. Thanks for sharing.

I remember they were the first Christian "rock" band, I saw, in Auburn, Al, 1983ish? They all came out on stage with cammos on! It was awesome.

Whenever I hear this song I am reminded of my brother Kevin who loved the songs of Petra as a young man in the mid 1980s. He was a special person. He went home to be with the Lord five years ago in his mid life years due to illness. Throughout his life he loved this music, the Scriptures, and helping the music ministry in his church. I will see you again, my brother. Pray for me to finish my course faithfully! 😊

I've always loved this song, ever since Petra came out with it.
I can testify that the Lord Jesus The Most High God is real. I was in the kitchen when I heard the patient I was taking care of asking Jesus what He was doing there. I was his caregiver and we never really clicked. Till this day I remember and know my Father God Jesus the Most High God has my back.

I remember singing this song in one of my worship groups back in the late 80’s. We were called “The Doves.” It was one of the very first time of hearing this group Petra. Who knew I’d end up hearing about them again back in the early 90’s with my ex husband. He Loved this group.

Reminds me of the epistle of Paul to the Romans when he is writing about being a believer, but he keeps doing and saying things that are contradictory to what he knows is pure and just, when he desires to do and say the right thing, but again, what is contrary, and who can rescue him from this body of death? Thanks be to God for our Lord Jesus Christ!! Excellent song for when you feel like you are falling short and letting God down. Jesus strength is sufficient, and people mess up. Just don't give up!
