I don't know why Kannada movies are not appreciated or maybe you don't have access to. Watch these movies 1. Blink 2. Murphy 3. Shakahaari 4. Roopantara 5. Juni 6. Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe 7. The Judgement 8. Grey Games 9. Ibbani Tabida Eleyali(though 2nd half was dragged) 10. Bagheera for the fresh concept 11. Bhairathi Ranagal 12. Max and UI Yes, there were few but I'm sure one or the other movie would have been in top 10 10.
This is the fate of our Kannada movies. Despite good movies are coming it will always remain underrated. Main reasons is our own Kannada people don't go to theater to which these movies (excluding star hero movies) n naturally buzz will not be created. Now, coming to Bhageera, Bhairathi Ranagal, UI n Max though it has/is got/getting good response in Karnataka.... not sure if the movie is not accessible to review OR purposefully ignored. The reason why I get this feel is every industry mass movie is being reviewed (even non-pan India movie) but our industry's mass movies are ignored in this channel.
Kannada don't need to be hated as they are a very small industry compared to the other three.. The reality is. Sandalwood for other Language movies is >>>>> their support for their own movies 😶
One correction: In manjumel boys, soubin Shahir was hugged by shreenath bhasi's mother character, not his own mother. The reason for that hug was because she saw him as the person who took her son for the trip and started hating him seeing the condition in which her son returned.
I feel Amaran should be in the list Many of us came out of the Theatre with tears which was so emotionally touching, it left such a long lasting impact Anyways this is my opinion

Kalki 2898AD should have received at least a honorable mention. The movie opened the genre of mythological science fiction in India and delivered on almost all that can be expected in that genre. Also The fact that the list doesn’t include any of the large scale commercially successful movies - Kalki, Pushpa 2, Hanuman, Raayan, Premalu, Lover - is a testament to how Jammy is now moving more into the elite critique circle with a holier than thou approach than being the voice of a general audience.
How are they even related to each other? The twist is totally different and not even related. Shutter island doesn’t have any memory problem. It’s just mental problem.

MALAYALAM CINEMA really hit it out of the park with their content driven movies this year. unfortunately being a telugu guy, its a great year for Telugu cinema in terms of money making but a terrible year in terms of content. looking forward to 2025

My list
Great list! It's amazing how some of these movies were unnoticed! I am not sure if you have been following the Marathi movies but I would highly suggest Ole Aale and Amaltash.
Love the content and hope you have a great run in 2025 too!
I don't know why Kannada movies are not appreciated or maybe you don't have access to. Watch these movies
1. Blink
2. Murphy
3. Shakahaari
4. Roopantara
5. Juni
6. Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe
7. The Judgement
8. Grey Games
9. Ibbani Tabida Eleyali(though 2nd half was dragged)
10. Bagheera for the fresh concept
11. Bhairathi Ranagal
12. Max and UI
Yes, there were few but I'm sure one or the other movie would have been in top 10
10.
I watched atleast half of the movies in the list and none of them deserves top 10
@@s.m.arunkumar6153 dude why the mallu and tamil hate telugu and kannada movies so much?
Kannada don't need to be hated as they are a very small industry compared to the other three..
The reality is.
Sandalwood for other Language movies is >>>>> their support for their own movies 😶
My personal top 10 indian movies:

Hello Jammy advance happy new year wishes.
The film 'All I Imagine Is Light' is featured on Barack Obama's highly recommended movie list for this year.
@@anonymousa4987 Because it's the only indian movie he could have watched being it premiered internationally
One correction: In manjumel boys, soubin Shahir was hugged by shreenath bhasi's mother character, not his own mother. The reason for that hug was because she saw him as the person who took her son for the trip and started hating him seeing the condition in which her son returned.
I feel Amaran should be in the list
Many of us came out of the Theatre with tears which was so emotionally touching, it left such a long lasting impact
Anyways this is my opinion
Amaran is not a original story. It had real life story, so Just acting matters. Original stories are much appreciatble than biopics
bro leftist ppl here...don't worry ...
BLINK - Kannada movie is my top 1
should've made 2 lists- 1 for Top 10 Malayalam films & another for Top 10 Indian movies(excluding Malayalam)... Mollywood domination in terms of consistently delivering good movies this year was unprecedented
My top 10 best movies list
1. Kill
2. Maharaja
3. Article 370
4. Lucky Bhaskar
5. Laapata Ladies
6. Maidaan
7. Aavesham & Amar Singh Chamkila

Kishkindha Kaandam is decent but it's definitely isn't in my top 10
Bollywood didn't fell off it's just that south cinema is getting more success nowadays
Stree 2🥲🥲
Article 370 ❤
Bro i have a recommentation for you if you liked kill then u should definitely watch new malayalam movie "Marco" trust me u will like it.
@NavaneethAnish-km4ut I will watch Marco after it will come on ott
@@abhinavprakash2094 Where are u living bro. If marco is available in mearest theatres please watch. 90% of audients from kerala and outside kerala side it's the most voilent film ever made in india. Brutel than kill and animal. I just blinked many times because of the blood bath and violance. Also it's a A rated film. Don't miss the theatre experience.
Superb list. Have to catch up on quite a few of these still. Thanks for the fabulous reviews, Jammy. Love how you review movies and the effort put in to explain the intricacies of filmmaking and to understand the nuances of different cultures. Cheers and keep shining!

It's okay bro. U and I liked it. Opinion of others shouldn't matter to you😃
Actually it was in his list in half year best movies
@@aromalja8133hey rimuru 👋
My number 1 has to be Kishkindha Kandam. I just felt like the level of Indian movies went up with this film.
Its quite ironic that not a single Telugu movie is in any of the top 10 lists though they produced some of the biggest blockbusters.
Lucky bhaskar is telugu
@@kodurijayanth7 Oh right. I forgot that. Thanks bro
You really want pushpa to be here? Seriously? Already we will get embraaased when people see that pushpa is one of the highest grosser of India. Now you want those films to be in top 10
Wild Robot is the movie of the year for me❤
For me, Amaran was the best movie of 2024. If you make a video for best individual performances of 2024, pls rate sai pallavi's performance in amaran at least in the top 3.
My list of movies I seen :
My friend totoro
Aavesham
Goat life
Girls will be girls
Aftersun
Anatomy of the fall
Kill
Buckingham murder
Chamkila
Maharaja
In no particular order
Anatomy of a Fall and Aftersun were great
Aftersun was classic
Hey Anmol
After a long time I saw a very simple review
There are no unwanted emotions and criticism
I liked it was informative and also entertaining
Keep it up❤
The fun part I only saw Lucky Bhaskar and none other
I watched Meiyazhagan last night (the uncut version) and oh man, this is one of the most beautiful movies I have watched. No wonder, it comes from the writer-director of '96. And now that the sequel of '96 is expected, I'm so excited!
'voh har baar lunch ke time tried and refused productions ka video post karna zaroori hai kya?' - in sanjay dutt voice.
HAHAHAHA!
Saripodhaa Sanivaaram atleast deserves an honourable mention..

4. Premalu
5. Amaran
6. Stree 2
7. Kill

Article 370 and Merry Christmas were really good as well deserved to be in the list

in terms of box office it tfi not mallu
For me Out of these...

Then "Maharaja"
Then it can be "Avesham"
And all other gud at any position 😅
Jeez.!! 😮

Best industry 2024 - Kollywood
(Highest number of movies with scoring IMDb Rating 8 or above)
Maharaja, Meiyazhagan, Viduthalai 2 , Amaran , Lubber pandhu,Jama ,Sir, Sattam en kayil
Oompanam

@@sheikmohideen3505these films made big money too.
the most disastrous industry in box office
Yess also with the biggest bombs in the box office indian 2 , kanguva , GOAT 🤣🤣
Expected the national award winning film Aatam on this list
Out of 10 best Indian films if 2024
6 of them are Malayalam movies💖
2 of them are Tamil films❤️
1 Telugu 😍
1 Hindi each 🤗
Kalki 2898AD should have received at least a honorable mention.
Yea general audience made a below average crimgefest like pushpa ATBB... No way it should be anywhere near the best movies of the year
Was waiting so eagerly for this😊
Avesham is my no 1 in my list as well. The theatre experience was blasting
I knew way before that Aavesham would be your number 1🤘🏿👍🏿
Malayalam supremacy..🗿🔥
Manjummel boys is no 10...? Lol that was unexpected.. shud have been in top 5 atleast
Kishkinda Kaandam kinda takes Shutter Island route in the end in a better and emotional manner. 6:24
How are they even related to each other? The twist is totally different and not even related. Shutter island doesn’t have any memory problem. It’s just mental problem.
All we imagine as light will be on Disney Hotstar from Jan-03
Malayalam films 😍❤️
I am not able to bring my comment to your notice....or if you really did give a try to gaami and didnot like it please tell me you've seen it.....pllleeeaaassseeeeee
I also root for the slice of life
Do Aur Do Pyaar, The Buckingham murders, Ullozhukku, Golam and Vaazha !!
Please try 35(telugu) also
My list:
1. Aavesham
2. Kill.
3. Manjummel boys
4. Brahmayugam.
5. Kishkindha kaadam
Personally wasn't a huge fan of maharaja, it was bit too insensitive for me. I also haven't watchef meizhazhagan yet, will do soon.
I am shocked that even though you enjoyed and loved Nani's Saripodhaa Sanivaaram movie you haven't added that even in the honorable mentions list at all too....!!!!!! 😢😢💔💔
He already told in a different interview that telugu industry hasn't performed well this year, how do you expect him to mention telugu or kannada movies in the list.
@@sarath1103 telugu industry hasn't performed 😂😂 u don't know BO ? Telugu industry is the biggest grosser of 2024 surpassing bollywood by huge margin. These ppl just hate telugu movies success
@@harshanittala9223 he is just a paid artist for Malayalam production houses . Don't take his reviews seriously , it's best if you skip him
@@sarath1103 lol look at Malayalam and Telugu BO collections , you would understand which industry draws most of the crowds . An average youtuber tailored reviews with his malayalam and tamil subscribers is not the whole world 😆
@@Bhairavvvv so you determine good cinema by box office collections 😂😂 wa bhai wa 👏🏼 By your logic pushpa 2 is the GOAT movie of the year right 😂😂
I am a malayali and have seen all the movies mentioned by you(except for all we imagine as light). Yet My most favourite pick is a Tamill movie - Meiyazhagan.
