- I completed my Intermediate Skiing Course from IISM in Gulmarg, Kashmir (Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering) which is definitely one of the best places to learn skiing in India especially if you are on a budget. Skiing is by far one of the most heart pumping, thrilling and liberating adventure sports out there. Ever since I completed my Basic Skiing Course, I have longed to be back on the slopes. I wanted to take my skiing skills to the next level so that I can ski faster, from higher and steeper slopes. That's the thing about skiing, once you start, you can't stop. So in this video, I take you with me as I struggle, fall, slip and slide my way through this course while making some amazing memories on the way!

Hahaha I think everyone has been in that situation. So the best thing you can do is start calling them in October. Keep a tight check on exactly when the booking is opening. And the very second it opens just book it then and there. Keep all documents everything ready with you.

I did basic and intermediate course back in 2013 2014 when I was in 3rd and 4th standard in my winter vacations of hostel now it appears to be nostalgia those evening cricket and evening function at hall❤
The best part is, it is motivates others who wish to do some adventourous things. Your recorded explanations were really nice. I wathced your insta page also that was also good. If you add best still photographs as a slides in your video it will be good. At last congratulations to your 3rd position.

Aren't you afraid of bone injuries and are these injuries common
@@parvahuja1411 Injuries is something that can happen in any sport, be it football, cricket or adventure sports, that doesn't mean we don't try them. The best we can do is learn and try our best to be safe. Also in skiing, I think injuries happen at an expert stage rather than beginner because when the slopes are steeper or you are going to fast or try jumps, your chance of getting injured are higher. As a beginner your slope is not that inclined and you go slow so that automatically reduces the chance of injuries.

I want to know based on your experience that How much free time did we got there in day. I'm software engineer freelancer, so Is it possible to do work while enrolling any of the course?

Hello. Great Information. I have a query like if I do ice ski course form private school/instructor then, I will need certificate of basic course at time of intermediate as you said some are need to learn again basic course just for certification ?

No they don’t allow the basic course. They sometimes allow intermediate and advance.

@@contactdi8426 the lift is very old(1970s) and dangerous for inexperienced people. They are pllaning to install a modern one soon.

You can practice without instructor after the 1st level itself. Gulmarg has a public slope where anyone and everyone can ski. It’s just that you need to be confident about your technique and be careful about your safety. Start with basic slopes and do steeper slopes as you get better.
Is this a government institute? Also in a previous video u showed a shot of u in rail going up the hill. Which place is that ?

Hey himanshi i will be attending iism this year. Please let me know what ski equipment's are included means (like obvious the ski and the poles) apart from it does it also include jackets helmet and other stuffs??? Please answer as soon as you find this comment. @whereishimanshi
Hey @Sam-vz7pf! IISM will only provide Ski, poles and ski boots. You will have to bring jackets, gloves, sunglasses etc of your own. Also, do not rely on Gulmarg market to buy these stuff because there are not much options there and whatever tou will find there would be highly priced.
I am attending Intermediate this February. My basic was also from IISM.
Once we've completed the basics, can we proceed to the intermediate level. There's no need to wait for another year right?

It’s different for different age groups and they also update it sometimes. Check their website you will get more clarity.
