    Nice, i would recommend that you put the 14gr rollers in, that makes the bike a lot faster and still very rideable on the street (not race like) i have it on both my tmax's and they are really fast! It will take the rpm up to 7000 which is the perfect rpm for the tmax

      That is definitely what I would do to ours, but unfortunately it not being our scooter we can only do so much. That being said, I definitely want a T-Max in our garage and maybe then we will do some fun stuff... maybe even throttle bodies and cams. 😉

      I found the Mallossi kit made my T Max over rev . It revved its nuts off in town 28mph at 6000 revs . ! Switched it back to standard and happier with it. For me anyway . Nice video , where are you guys based ?

      @@rjmockett that is really weird my Tmax with the full polini kit goes to a maximum of 7500 with the 14gram rollers. I tried this on multiple tmaxes. Maybe your rollers were to light? With the 14grams I would be at around 3800 cruising at 28mph

    • @Lucas-vu2cr
      @Lucas-vu2cr 7 днів тому

      60 mph is about 5000 rpm cruising!

      @@Lucas-vu2cr not sure why mine over revved , but made it not nice to ride . I have had every mk of T Max and this latest one a mk 8 has been fully. Modified by the previous owner at considerable cost . Full Ohlins full akrapovic full billet alloy covers and Mallossi variator . Not sure what weights the rollers were but swapped to original and it’s better for me . Love these bikes

    What about washers after installing malossi half pully?

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders 3 місяці тому

      You use the same washers, and Malossi supply a washer for the half pulley too.

    Hello everyone,
    I'm having an issue with my 2014 TMAX 530. The check engine light is on, and while the bike starts and drives perfectly, it won't exceed 5000 RPM and remains in limp or safe mode. I scanned the bike and received a code 12, which indicates a problem with the crankshaft position sensor. However, I can't seem to locate the crank sensor on the bike. these scooters use pickup coils. Any advice or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

      The sensor is by the AC generator/stator and has a 2-pin plug with a Grey and Black wire.
      Unplug the sensor and measure the resistance between the two wires. It should be 248-372 ohms [on x100 scale]
      If it's out of spec, you will have to replace the sensor/stator assembly. But I would try cleaning the sensor first if it's slightly out of spec.
      Send me an email and I'll send you the service manual and guide you to the page for checking the sensor. urbanridersperformance@gmail.com

    these 530 have std good torque.with malossi parts u ll gain more power because it stress the engine with higher rpm.but damn what an weird variator yamaha made.they should install bigger size rollers so u ll need less to install.those tiny rollers worn out faster doesnt it?

    • @urban_riders
      @urban_riders 3 місяці тому +1

      The rollers actually last quite long. Even at the replacement intervals Yamaha state, the rollers are still good.
