That candle sounds fabulous. The vase is interesting. I read a bunch of von Armin when I was younger. "Elizabeth and Her German Garden" was my favorite.
Yes, would've loved a plainer more versatile vase, but the candle is awesome.

Hi Noël! I haven't heard of this book either but it sounds good. Yay you're going to Italy, that's exciting! I like the post card too. I thought it was a book holder at first. 😂 I think I heard case instead of vase. Lol it's late at night. It's a beautiful vase, something different. That and the lemon candies are my favorite items. Well obviously the book is my favorite item! Time to stop typing and get to bed.

I like that makeup eraser! I love those, I just bought an avocado one. The candle sounds nice even to me. And if you were a fake flower person you could scrunch up white or black tisssue paper, and stick a fake flower (or other arrangement) in the vase. Nice!
Yeah, or maybe some wood flowers or dried flowers, but I don't really have space for something like that in my house.
When I first heard the title of the book, I thought it would have been perfect for the spring box. However, the story itself, with the women vacationing in Italy, did have summer vibes. Always a fun box to watch on the channel!

The book is lovely and sounds good. I'm drinking lemon ginger tea at the moment. The vase is different but wouldnt be my favorite. My fave would probably be the candle. 😊
Yeah, the vase was an interesting idea, but the execution wasn't my fav.
Another beautiful box from the Literary Book Club. I agree that I would prefer the vase in glass but that would be more difficult to ship. I would use it as is, though, because it's such a unique item.

I seriously want you to read this book to me ! Great review, I’m a new subscriber to the literary club and wish I’d heard of it sooner, I missed out on little women and Anne of green gables, my most favorite!
We haven't had Anne of Green Gables that I recall but I know it's often requested and there's a new Chiltern edition that's out so I think it might happen soon.
Like you, I have never heard of this book before. The vase was my least favorite as well as Lady Caroline and Mrs. Fisher being my least favorite characters. I enjoyed the little added extras and absolutely loved the lemon candy from Italy! More please. 😊 I will probably never use the passport cover because I don't have a passport and probably never will because I can't afford to go anywhere outside the US. Reading is my passport. This was my first book with this club. I ordered the Halloween book. The Christmas book was way too expensive. I'm not sure if the September book has been revealed. But I intend to try this club at least until the end of the year. I'm very hopeful for this club.😊
Yes, I really enjoy this subscription, but I like the editions from regular publishers the best.

I purchased this box and have already read the book and went through it. I lit the candle and the scent doesn't throw, unfortunately but the cold throw is nice. I make candles and it's very hard to get a citrus scent to throw when heated.

I wasn't a fan of the plastic vase, my daughters thought it was awesome. I'm hoping it grows on me. Maybe using it for a bookmark holder.

I read most of my books on a kindle, but I do like really nice copies of books. And I think the vase is cool. I don't get this box though.
It's fun. Keep an eye out for a title you'd be interested in.
If you don't, you should read books out loud. For example Cumberbatch reads Sherlock Holmes for the public, You have a lovely voice and seem able to adjust to different types of feminine voices quite well.
Oh thank you! I'd love to read audiobooks, but I know there are tons of talented actors out there already doing that.
