    Thank you so much for this video I have been buying oils for over a year now and finally wanted to use them this weekend. Found myself without a diffuser cuz I didn't buy one so I went online and searched frantically on how to use these oils and your video was perfect and explaining different ways to use the oils. I dropped some peppermint and lavender and rose oil on a cloth and I put in front of my fan and it is amazing thank you so much again and I will continue to watch the video that you post

    What do you recommend for people who are super sensitive to smells?

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  5 років тому +1

      Jill W. Fox I’ve found most people who react negatively to synthetic aromas don’t find the same issues with oils. To start off I’d have you start with citrus oils (since everything you smell a lemon or orange you’re actually inhaling essential oils!) and also starting with fewer drops while you orient your nose to the natural compounds. This helps your body acclimate and adjust and not respond negatively out of habit. That’s worked for a lot of my clients. Thoughts?

    • @SimpleMarketingAcademy
      @SimpleMarketingAcademy 5 років тому

      @@TaraWagner Thank you, Tara! That's interesting that you said that. All of my candles smell like foods, can't use the ones that smell like flowers.

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  5 років тому +1

      @@SimpleMarketingAcademy Are the candles made with essential oils or perfumes? If perfumes, it's hard to say if your reaction will be the same with oils. (Heck, even if they are made with oils, it's hard to say since the quality of oils varies GREATLY.)

      @SimpleMarketingAcademy 5 років тому

      @@TaraWagner No idea. Most are from Yankee or Bath & Body Works.

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  5 років тому +1

      @@SimpleMarketingAcademy From what I know, that's a definite "no". Do you wanna test out some oils to see how you respond? Not sure if there's a way to shoot me a private message here, but I'm happy to send you some recommendations of where to start based on your needs and goals.

    If we should not use oil diffuser then which diffuser to use because we can not use humidifier too. Can we use oil hear diffuser ceramic ones? Please confirm.. Also, can you please make a video for humidifier is it worth buying?

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  3 роки тому

      You CAN use an oil diffuser. It’s just not always accessible so this video is full of alternatives. Humidifiers are tricky. You’ll need to find one that specifically says it works with essential oils!

  • @avatitus2834

    Would it work if I put a few drops on a paper towel and fold it up next to my bed to be able to smell it. My sister has a defuser but she uses it and won't let me borrow it. Would this work?

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  4 роки тому

      Somewhat, but possibly not very strong. I’d try putting the paper towel inside your pillow case if you can’t smell it.

    How about in a humidifier

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  3 роки тому

      It depends! Most humidifiers don’t hold up to essential oils. Some oils can damage the plastic components; other gunk things up. But they DO make some humidifiers that are made to be used with oils! That’s the best bet. Otherwise I’d use one of the other means of diffusing.

      This is ok for smell alone but the compounds of the oils can be degraded by high heats so it's best to avoid when possible.

    Can you put it on a candle?

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  3 роки тому +1

      Yes for the smell and to avoid toxic perfumes but you do lose a lot of the oil benefits thru excessive heat/burning.

    Hello beautiful lady. Just subbed after watching this video.. I recently got interested in essential oils to help with my mom's fight with lung cancer. Can you please tell me the correct way to mix frankincense, lemon and cannabis essential oils? Can i also mix black seed oil with these. 💖

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  5 років тому

      Do you mean CBD oil (that's not exactly an essential oil). I would check out my video on dilution to find some options that might work, including a guide for dilution rates: ua-cam.com/video/Yt0mj0EQLCc/v-deo.html The thing you'll want to watch for is increased sensitivity of her skin and of course let her doctor in on anything she's using.

    Is lavender okay for pets

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  4 роки тому

      Generally speaking yes. But always dilute according to their size if using topical. And never trap them in a room with a diffuser running. They should have the ability to leave (and will if any aroma is too strong).

  • @amanmittal4232

    Bro someone has recommended me not to use essential oil with these kinda ultrasonic humidifier as this may cause problem and ultimately you will damage your humidifier is it true

    • @TaraWagner
      @TaraWagner  4 роки тому

      Aman Mittal well it depends on the humidifier (not to be confused with a diffuser, which is made specifically for dispersing oils), but mostly it’s correct. Most humidifiers don’t use the right plastics or components and the oils can degrade it, sometimes pretty quickly.
