I graduated in 1998 with a "visual arts" degree. My first job was working in the library at UMBC circulation department- no college degree required. Next job- worked in the student computer labs at John's Hopkins University- my degree meant nothing there. Then spent the past 20 years helping my father run a business...no degree needed. I have been a video editor- everything I learned on my own- the software I used in college is dead today. My blue collar friends are making way more money, have great pensions, etc.🤷
Spot on about modern Jesuit schools. Some good news is that there is a renewed interest in authentic Catholicism, and many young people of good will are resisting the agenda of the modernists and pursuing the Truth.
Tried college for 6 months. Not for me. But, I did go to 2 trades schools ( carpenter) paid for my own land, paid for my daughter's college when she need help. Built my underground house. No dept owed. Retired at 57 1/2. .with 2 pensions and collect a great s.s. on top of that. Go union. Try that in the private sector. Local 323 n.y. and 349 maine.
I went to a #1 Engineering university, FREE Highest median starting salary from a public institution in the USA. My 1st job ever was ~$100K/yr in 1980 Why was it a waste of my Time? 3 hots and a cot at 16 yrs old.
I love Charlie. Saying he should do more research the next time he makes a claim about something that maybe he doesn’t understand all too well. You have to appreciate that.
There are some people Who haven't got to college but has the intellectual capacity even though i never finish college i might have above average iq level and i might deserve an honorary phd i'm capable of analytical and critical thinking and also capable of rational conversation somehow college is a scam because there are several or few subjects that you literally don't need for your course in other words some more subjects are just a waste of time it is better to be a businessman rather to be a slave of another person i rather to choose to be a boss of my own not to be a slave by another person
Im so glad education is free in my country. AND we get money to go to school. 😂 Yes, our taxes are high, but we get free education and free healthcare. Fair trade in my opinion
America is the worst of the worst when it comes to college/health care fees, pure evil. That being said I think it's a bit unfair for higher education to be free. Primary school is to teach you essential skills for society. Secondary is to prepare you for your future path in life. Both are great for society without giving anyone a particular advantage over one another. University is for people to further their expertise and in turn their own income, yet it isn't a requirement. When I studied in Japan there were so many 30 year old Europeans who were studying things like philosophy, just sucking up the tax payer dollars to basically dick around. I think it's messed up for someone to leave high school, become say an electrician, work hard, serve society and pay all those taxes so another person can to go to university and just fuck around and ultimately become a pencil pusher in some company. Charging $100k for college is insane and wrong but making it free doesn't seem right, either.
Honest question, what do you think of Boyce College? I heard it’s an amazing college and a Christian college. It’s the same college the UA-camr “Into the Wardrobe” (he does a lot of chronicles of narnia videos) talks about.
"Humility is a grace that is precious in the sight of God" - C.S. Lewis. Good work as always Charlie!
Trade schools are where it’s at . I went to line school, became a Lineman and now make around 250 a year

That was a more pleasant exchange than I'm used to seeing. At least the first one. Good video.

9 out of 10 statistics are wrong including this one
Thanks for calling out how shitty Catholic schools have become.
Kim Wexler looks nothing like Taylor Swift 😅
