Your best yet, Jason! Some wonderful shots. You really bring out the contrast between the beauty of the natural landscape and the dramatic man-made landscape. I take my hat off to your fellow countrymen who worked the quarry; imagine working up there in the winter.
Just found this vlog of yours. I know it was 3 years ago but its inspired me to walk from the bottom to the top instead of driving to the top. All your images are stunning however, the one with the ice is my favourite. I would say keep up the good work but you all ready have 👌
Just been recommended by someone in our camera club. Amazing footage and imagery. Visited last November and going back again in My. Can’t wait. Love watching.
OH Jason, I would have loved to take this same trip! I am going to call you if I ever get to come to the land of my forefathers, The Parry Family, and have you take me and my husband out there....My heart was totally involved while watching this! I have to watch it again!
Oh I wanted to add also, I LOVED the music you chose for this vlog...it pulls at my heartstrings so much, makes me melencholy and happy! Definitely makes me want to go and visit where my ancestors are from!
Hi Jason, one of your best vlogs for a long time, it is a truly magical place and never fails to deliver some great images, bet you wish you could go back in time and photograph the men working on the galleries back in the heyday of the quarry. Keep up the good work.
Jason, some terrific images. The ice, the view down toward the lake(s) and the drone footage, all added up to one of your epic vlogs. Great work. Really looks like you where at the top of the world.
Excellent vlog Jason, what a dramatic place. There must be so many different compositions there. Great images throughout. I'm heading up to Snowdonia next week so I have found your vlogs very helpful. 👍 👏
Great video again Jason, the hardship of working these quarry's is hard to get your head around. Visited cwmorthin slate quarry last October. Worth a visit
Another great vlog from this huge atmospheric old quarry, you’re right, you can never tire of the place. There are interesting things higher up as well, we explored the very top areas last summer. Still plenty of areas where I want to explore and just wish I lived closer.
Wow Jason! All your shots are impressive, but the view of the mountains with the ice on the left is absolutely amazing. One of the best shots I have seen in a while. Well done!!
I have now seen many of your vlogs and I have always enjoyed them, then I came across this one, I think, no I dont think, I know, this is one of your best vlogs ever, not only was it a a great location but it was a kind of history lesson too, and of course you got some great pictures, its a massive well done and well filmed from me.....it was most enjoyable, thank you for sharing......
Hi Jason, Found you tonight, truly enjoyed your video and subscribed straight away. That quarry looks amazing and your shots were awesome, especially the ice. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jason, wow a great vid, thank you. I have a day in Wales on the 4th and was looking at a couple of venues to photograph. Your vid confirmed my day out, thank you. Cheers, Diz
Iv'e followed you through all your travels at the Dinorwic Slate Quarry, this is without a doubt the best yet. Really enjoyed the way you have put the vlog together, and great choice of music. The landscape shot with the wall of ice on the left was my favourite. Keep them coming Jason.
Jason Jones Photography I've done similar things to that over the years, a couple of months ago I formatted a memory card, but picked up the wrong one and deleted a whole vlog. Lol
Very relaxed vlog. Great images, the chain and ladder would be my favourite as it’s one I’ve tried myself. If the weather holds out I’ll be visiting next week. It truly is an amazing place. Thanks for the brilliant vlog and inspiration to get out there
Must be one of your best vlogs, Jason. I thought the B&W images were stunning, especially the Australia shed one, and always love to see the drone footage with a perspective you don’t get on foot. I haven’t been up to the quarry yet this year, but after the comments on a vlog a few weeks ago did get up to Aber Falls last week. Thanks for sharing and keep the reminders coming!
Another magical vlog Jason, that quarry just blows me away with it's sheer size. Don't know if I would have the stamina to make it up to the top. Fantastic images. Thanks
Awesome video Jason, and it sure was worth it, those images are amazing, you certainly have the eye for composition, I can't pick a favourite, they're all magical. I don't know if it was intentional but the 1st 2 images made it look like a model, it must have been the angle you took them from. Really looking forward to your next vlog!!
Great video Jason. Definitely your best and very nostalgic for me! When I first visited Dinorwig in the 1960s the quarry was still in operation and every day our neighbours walked from Dinorwig village to the top level where he worked in one of the winding sheds! I lived in Dinorwig in 1970s when I worked on the construction of the power station and I found the quarry a fascinating place to explore. I plan to return soon and visit the quarry to get some images of my own.
As you rightly point out in the vlog, the conditions the men worked under would not be tolerated today. The Quarry Museum in Llanberis gives an insight into what working in the quarry must have been like.
Another great video Jason, not easy scaling a mountain having to go back for your camera all the time, and still coming across very relaxed. The images with the ice we're superb.ATB Steve.
Terrific shots of great quality and very interesting too showing some of the history of this quarry. It seems to have infinite possibilities for photography. You must be quite fit to climb these slippery inclines. I look forward to the next one there.
I love it when you get to the quarry Jason, such an interesting and beautiful location to photograph. Another excellent vlog, too, with terrific images. Love the ice shots and your GoTs rock, great stuff 👍👍
Thanks so much for this vlog I felt I was there with you. The images you captured were fantastic and deserve to be hung on a gallery wall, fantastic work!
Jason, thank you for you incredible videos most enjoyable. Do you have an explanation/video of your procedure when taking a panorama and bracketing each shot, I don't see much movement in the clouds which I would have expected Noel
Bonsoir Jason. I'm always very interested in your way of searching what can become a good photograph. Sometimes it seems there is nothing, and you just show that your first quality is the way you explore with your eye and then you take the image. I learn so much watching your videos. Thank you.
Another great episode Jason, finding that ice must have given you an injection of adrenaline to get up the rest of the way .. super find and lovely images
Well Jason you survived! I was feeling queasy just seeing some of the dangerous paths of slate you was walking up! Very good Jason, really enjoyed it! Didn’t feel long at all. 😁👍 big thumbs up from me and the wife.
Jason!, I am stunned and in awe of your work! I have just found you on UA-cam and share your interests. I live not far from Caernarfon. You have absolutely mastered the art of Photography, Storytelling, Directing, Editing and Producing! I don't know what else to say... apart from, Teach Me! :-)
So many photo opportunities amazing, we failed to get to North Wales due to the snow fall we are there on holidays in July and I am definitely following your footsteps. Cheers bud for sharing and getting out doing what you do best. 💪
Thomas Heaton has just been to North Wales for the first time and did'nt really get anything great. He left his guide book at home, should have come to you, took him around Dinorwic it would have blown his mind. Great images as usual, read some of the comments before the seeing to the end of the blog and noted the comments on maybe this your best blog, now at the end and I think I agree (somewhat agree, because I like all your blogs, can't pick a best)
Brilliant video Jason. Just wish I was able to explore more of this place, due to my osteoarthritis I am unable to get to the levels you can manage. The views from the platform were all I could manage so seeing this video certainly helped me see the parts I couldn't get to.
Love the quality from the new blogging camera. Best images have to be the GoT one and the icescape in landscape view. The colour images working best for me this time around due to the great weather you had.
Great stuff Jason another good vlog up, enjoyed seeing the bigger area in this and a nice set of images to boot... Nice to see the info about the quarry in the description as well :)
Another great vlog Jason! The wife and i love to visit snowdonia, I've been to the dinorwig quarry a few times and love the history there. Thanks for showing us your trips. Hi Jason, I was talking with a fellow subscriber after we both watched your latest vlog, and we both agreed, if you are not the best photographer on UA-cam then we haven't seen him yet, absolutely fabulous, the images with the ice were simply stunning, can you tell me the name of the music you used on this vlog, only if possible I want to go out and buy it, I am a bit of a classical nut.
All I can say is Wow, another cracking Vlog. Every time I watch your photos of this quarry I think of the time many years ago I stayed in a holiday cottage overlooking the quarry. On one side of the road was a row of cottages opposite was the quarry, the end of the road was like a cul de sac leading to a quarry entrance.I also love your choice of music on your Vlogs.
As always you are totally the king of Dinorwig mate I would love to join you on a full day out there. I hope you take me up on the offer do a collaboration maybe.holly crap you got the best images of the year so far wow that ice is amazing. How long did it take to get up there

Any of those ' ''I love a destination'' car windscreen stickers about, saying one 'loves' a photographic location? e.g. ''I love Dinorwic Quarry' with vlogs like this one about I 'love' it'
Omg that ice . Really made me emotional. I'm planning to go back to the quarry soon to explore more .
Your best yet, Jason! Some wonderful shots. You really bring out the contrast between the beauty of the natural landscape and the dramatic man-made landscape. I take my hat off to your fellow countrymen who worked the quarry; imagine working up there in the winter.
