We love hiking with you in any kind of weather Mary because of your cheerful, beautiful spirit. And you find the beauty and the blessings in the unplanned.
How uplifting to find a new trail amid having to abandon The Great Ridge. But then we shouldn't be surprised. You will always find the wonder and the beauty somewhere along the way Mary x
Regardless of the weather challenges you managed to produce a beautiful and very interesting video. I loved seeing you disappear into the fog, very mystical indeed. Thank you and can’t wait for part II 😊🙏🏻❤️
Grand country Mary and good decision, we are lucky to be guided by a beautiful rose, who chated wisely about travel in the hills. Can't wait for the next installment...........
Thank you darling ☺️ We will definitely have to try and get up there when there is a frost or snow as I bet it will be stunning for photography. We will park near Winnats Pass instead though as I don’t fancy the steep drive down those winding roads in ice!
your heart was in the right place Mary !!!! mother nature, she's quite the big stinker eh ?!! loved it all the same !!!! thanks for the thought Mary !!!! nut'n wrong with a little fog ( key word LITTLE 😅😁 ) guess you wuz there to help the other lost folks !!!!! right ??!!! take care girl !!!!
I've never been disappointed with a video of yours. Still haven't. A wonderfully diverse grove of trees. Did any of them smell interesting? 😊 Thanks Tink!
Despite the fog you had a gorgeous day 😍 you've given me so many ideas for interesting training hikes to do next year. Thats me all packed & ready to get to Fort William tomorrow, weather forecast is awesome if you have webbed feet 🤣😂, so I packed plenty dry socks. Rain has never put me off.
This reminds me of a hike several years ago in the Sangre de Cristo mountains (in New Mexico). We set out very early to hike a 12,440-ft. peak (3792 meters) starting out at about 8,000 feet. We could see the top when we started, and there was just a trace of wispy cloud near the top. By the time we got there, we were in a full cloud with horizontal rain and shrieking wind. We did summit it and take a couple of pictures of each other (there was no view at all), and then beat feet back down. It was probably 40 degrees (4.5 celsius) at the top in early July.
GOOOOD MORNING Tinkerbell 😀 !!!!! Well look at u !!!! A whole mouth full of nouns and yet u managed to spit it all out in ur usual elegance !!!!! Way to go Tinkerbell 😀😀👍🏼 Beautiful trail 😍 So how much do you charge for guided tours ???? 😅🤣😂🤭 Btw Mary I always enjoy hiking with you no matter what the weather 🧐😃 And 🤭 what is wrong with you and your hair getting a toss about on the trail 😁 !! The part of trail on a narrow crest KINDA, SORTA reminds me, or at least, brings to mind the " knifes edge " in WA on the PCT !!! Only this is the grassy version 😂😀🤗. Keep on rocking the free world Mary 🤠
Gooooood Morning Traky Boy! I wouldn't say I was very elegant trying to say all those places - more of a jumbled mess🤣 Guided tours eh 🤔 now there's an idea🤣
booth booth baba baba booof.. try saying that after a few wines :) shame about the clag but hey.. you found a new lovely route back.. swings and that & it was great to see your unrelenting positive tinker dust on things
Don't worry about the lack of distant views due to the weather. The overcast and fog have a beauty of their own. But I feel I must take you to task for not carrying your emergency beacon! You never know what might happen. (Do I sound like your mother?) Please be safe.
Thank you Tom - I consider myself told off and won't do it again 😁 Only kidding, but that is why I came down. You will see in Part 2 (out on 11th October) how good and clear the trail is though which is why I thought I'd be okay without it 😉 (plus it is very easy to get to roads as its not in the wilderness at all). But yes I agree, no matter how easy something might be, things can and do go wrong. Safety first!

Glad you like them Jack!
You are very smart and a great example for responsible hiking/backpacking. Reminds me I need to finally get a PLB.
So kind of you to say so Haakon T, thank you!
Another nice video. The new trail was just waiting for you to make the right decision. Always carry an emergency blanket on outings. Good Luck, Rick
Thanks Richard! Yes I always have one in my bag 😇

Have an amazing time The Teuchter, hope you keep your spirits high despite the rain! 😁
I love a misty, foggy day. If well planned you can come away with a very atmospheric experience.

It is amazing how quickly the summit can disappear as the morning progresses!
Fantastic Mary 😊
