- We drove through the border of West Texas into New Mexico, and we were greeted by a magnificent host of desert mountains. Just when we thought the mountains were grand, we entered into a pure gem in the Land of Enchantment- the world’s largest gypsum dune. We enjoyed a wonderful day and evening at White Sands before continuing farther north in our van.
Despite the thoughts of the desert being tremendously hot, several cold nights brought us to the idea of treating ourselves to a natural hot spring right on the Ro Grande. And it was certainly well worth it.

I heard about white sands when I was in grade school about 60 years ago. Have aways wanted to see them. Thanks for this video.

Another great video! You have no idea how helpful these videos are. My wife and I are in a 1992 Toyota motor home and loosely following your path. We have been in Florida for the past three weeks and are just east of New Orleans at the moment. After that we are heading to Big Bend and then to White Sands! Of course visiting a few stops in between. Cant wait to follow your lead in those National Parks. (Except my wife is now refusing to slide down a sand dune ha ha.)

Hello, looks like you had fun. I live in NM has have been there multiple times. Never rented a sled--as I am alway by myself. I don't think I'd be too coordinated. Never been at sunset though--I need to do that!! Funny story about White Sands National Park is it was sneaked into a bill. It helps gain more land.

Need some outriggers on the Captain America Styled sled lol... Yeah the desert has a beauty to it, but when you start heading north to the Giant tree's, that is my idea of beauty.
Chad here. I completely agree. I love the desert but can’t wait to see some real big forests and trees. Oh and the captain America sled was far too powerful.

I don't think 30$ is a good price for a hot springs. In desert hot springs California can soak all day in hot springs for 7$ a person
ok...ok... FYI- Texans do not make chili with beans that is a northern thing. carry on...
