That’s where Rae and Ghost got the inspiration from. They was all homies back in the day. Remember Eiht was in the Can It All Be So Simple video chillin with the Wu
Excellent job, I knew there was another Comptons Most Wanted tape developed right before the direction of the group and MC Whit under the new Sony contract in which was distribution was handled by Epic Street. The main reason this tape was never released is because the "Comptons Most Wanted" contract had expired after Music to Drive-by; MC Ehits new contract only included him and DJ Slip, besides the sub contracts of William Zimmerman and others. So basically this tape had no industry, MC Ehit featuring CMW: We Come Strapped (1994) was the next tape we heard, top group in the 1990's.
oooh wow i never knew that, its really interesting because i always thought it was due to sampling or something like that lol so is that why they created NOTR ?
This album should have came out! Eiht had the song Compton 4 life on the third CMW album. " Music to drive by"! These songs sounds like a mix of " We come strapped " & " Death threats" ! I remember that song " Westsider from back in the day! I had the 12' album single All for the money & Westsider was the bonus song on it! Good ole days! Miss the '90s!
JUST THINK THEY WERE IN THE STUDIO DOING THIS IN 93 WHEN WU FIRST POPPED AT THIS TIME, DECEMBER 28 1993 SNOOP DOGGY DOGG WAS STARTING TO REALLY HEAT UP I remember driving to booty calls in other cities 9 tray was fun
Wow wow wow...thats so Dope Album 💥 The Tracks... We putz in much Work & N....z yo shit Its soo Good...😎...from Text & Beat🔥 I don't understand why the album wasn't thrown💢
yeah man it's a god damn shame and i think their might be more unreleased track out there somewhere I think it was due o sampling clearances that it got shelved but i'm not 100% sure
This was the N.O.T.R. (Niggaz on tha Run) album called "Anybody Killa". Not CMW. But it's tha same family obviously🫡 N.O.T.R. is: 8, Tha Chill, Boom Bam, and Tom 💯
Yo thank you a lot for uploading this homie, shit is very dope. Shame they didn't publish this album yo. Ain't no love, Westsides and We putz in much work are my favorites for sure. We putz in much work has a dope sample and I would put it in Music to Driveby era fo sure. The bass in Westsides is very interesting and dope. Ain't no love has that formula DJ Slip improved and mastered on We Come Strapped. Similar dope type of bass and same dope strings like on tracks like Niggaz make the hood go round or Goin out like Geez. Rapping is really on OG level on every track here. Thanks again for puttin' this out G. I subbed btw
My pleasure amigo been a huge fan of compton's most wanted and Dj Slips work since i was a kid and finally manages to find these beats scattered on the internet and the album was mentioned in an interview in 1993 and would of been a WC classic, my favorite is Ain't no love, We putz in much work and Sly slick & Wicked. Such a great groove and definitely a Music to driveby status i hope there will be more beats like this to appear 😎 thanks man
@@DJWHOOP Yeah, no problem bro! I checked some of your earlier shit and you did really good job on those CMW and Eiht's instrumentals, they are very accurate. Tomorrow I'll check your newer stuff. Yeah I'm a huge fan of CMW and Eiht too, Music to driveby and We come strapped are on my top 10 albums list fo sure
Thanks man😎 i did Duck sick, me and my bitch (1997) we come strapped and can i get mine not long ago, they used to have really nice beats. Music to driveby was a masterpiece but i love all eiht's stuff up to 2000 and the new albums he has just put out are real cool too. I love the 90 cypress hill and all the soul assassins stuff too
that is Da Foe he appeared in a song in the album death threatz - Love for the hood and also the album last man standing - the buisness if i remember well
That part he goes ''keep your MF oyez on the barrel'' is wicked as hell, the entire album would've been a classic its a damn shame it got shelved and the instrumentals Is on some next level awsomeness
How come this remained unreleased? If this was recorded in 1994, which it sounds like, how come they didnt sell it? It is one of the dopest albums of the fxxking era!
i always assumed it was due to sampling or something but a guy posted this about the album so this could definitly be the cause " Comptons Most Wanted tape developed right before the direction of the group and MC Ehit under the new Sony contract in which was distribution was handled by Epic Street. The main reason this tape was never released is because the "Comptons Most Wanted" contract had expired after Music to Drive-by; MC Ehits new contract only included him and DJ Slip, besides the sub contracts of William Zimmerman and others. Prolly because eiht said some suspect shit at 29:17 😮😂 ...But i agree, these beats are Waaaay stoopider than WCS. 🔥🔥🔥a million percent better. The song after this is my favorite on this, i just wish it was better quality sounding

The first song was a song that didn’t make the We Come Strap album. Most of these unreleased tracks didn’t make either Music to drive by or We Come Strapped or one album that CMW didn’t do in 1993 due to Eith being in Meance to Society.
yeah man 1993 and 1994, Kill em off, aint no love and wesides has that we come strapped vibe but the other stuff is like a prequal to music to driveby i loe it and it could of been a real WC classic
I think Dj unknown only worked on the it’s a Compton thang , str8t checking em and music to drive by Dj mike t and Dj slip as well and Willie Z for the piano

Now that I think about it. These songs where probably from an unreleased album. It’s a big gap maybe two years between Music to drive by and We Come Strapped. Some of these songs sounds like it should have been on We Come Strapped tho considering when most of them were made. Maybe early 94. Maybe some left over songs or songs that didn’t make the album that was going to be We Come Strapped.
i heard "we putz in much work" was going to be on the "We come strapped" album but it was cut due to the instrumental not having sample clearance and it was more a "music to driveby" ambiance but who really knows lol "kill em off and Ain't no love" i'm not sure what happened because it sounds like they didn't use any samples and "wesitsides" is on a "geez make the hood go round" promo album and an extra. Would ov been a perfect edition to "We come strapped" but for the other songs i just guest it was for the unreleased NOTR album
@@DJWHOOP I agree. If you think about it, We Come Strapped has a totally different sound from the previous CMW albums. You also have to look at the contributions on Willie Zimmerman aka Willie Z and Slip stepping his game up.
100% it was one hell of a drastic change in the instrumentals style but i loved it, all those piano and strings and bass was very distinctive and was no other sound like what they had at that time. Damn i miss the music from back then
@@DJWHOOP very much so a change in sound. Listen We Come Strapped. Those samples and violins and piano cords. Not piano samples but someone playing on the piano and Oboes
Yes I think everything piano wise was Willie z and mixed up by Dj slip but in some ways I prefer the beats on death threats compared to we come strapped but that Compton cyco beat was 🔥
This album was "Niggaz On Tha Run" 1st album but it got shelved. Which means they paid upfront for it but never released it. The music industry is crazy.
Its got a music to driveby vibe and with Chill, Boom Bam and the instrumentals its like a masterpiece, did the record lebel say why it was shelved?? N.O.T.R was awsom

That’s where Rae and Ghost got the inspiration from. They was all homies back in the day. Remember Eiht was in the Can It All Be So Simple video chillin with the Wu
Sly and wicked definitely is a DJ slip production. Has a great sound and could have made We Come Strapped.
