VERY IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT END OF SEASON: Episode 24 is the last episode of season 3. Episode 25 and 26 are bonus episodes that were going to be in season 4 before the show got cancelled. When it was picked up by Netflix, they were basically just dubbed as part of season 3 before the finale.
The discussion about Cain at the end about how he'll only be vulnerable when he wants to live reminded of Angel's situation in Buffy. Speaking of which, they really need to watch Buffy.
Who would think that a show about the devil solving crimes would lead to a philosophical discussion? In this show, guilt takes you to hell, and no-guilt to heaven, so your religion, whatever it is, doesn't matter. I think the show's writers thought it over to cover any kind of belief.
Came here to say exactly this. Also, one of the things to note is the the show writers are noticeably taking stories and tweaking them a bit, a lot of times with a “history is written by the winners” (not exactly the right analogy for the Cain/Abel situation but I hope my point makes sense)- the way everything plays out is generally “yeah these stories have one grain of truth in them, but divinity is complicated, history is long, and humans and dumb- so that’s not exactly how it happened”. It’s so much fun to hear the philosophical discussions with you guys, but remember in this universe that dogma is a little subjective- since, you know, biblical texts were written down my humans
Well not quite. Are you noticed that some cells in Hell are locked and covered in chains (in previous episodes, Mom obviously ran from one of those cells)? Probably that chains are for the worst souls who did a lot of shit and doesn't feel guilty, like the most maniacs and crazy killers? Maybe the chains are on them to keep them inside and not escape? Because souls are able to escape from Hell when they overcome their guilt, most cells are unlocked
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 I think thats more so to show the amount of guilt the person has, putting them in a deeper and more painful loop. It probably has no meaning realistically. Also no one has ever escaped hell (excluding the goddess) and gotten over their guilt at this point.
@@oxanatarashchuk4598 the only issue with this is that Lucifer says the doors aren’t locked which if your idea is true would be a direct lie. The chains could just be a symbolic thing
If you think about it tho, "Jesus" (persona/expression), is barely even mentioned or said throughout the series. I think it's because at the end of the day, this is still a comic adaptation.
Well they only mentioned him 2 times, so maybe he does exist as a person in this universe but isn’t the son of god or the story right not doesn’t really need to mention him and he is everything we think he is
Mark 28:10. The creator of the original "Charmed" did a lot of research to try and get "Wicca" just right, only for the big boss producer to find it limiting for story telling. So he made all old and new religions be real, despite the controversial contradictions, just so that they could have more potential opponents to fight. 🤔
Mark 12:23. For Eric! Quote: "In scientific reasoning, a hypothesis is constructed before any applicable research has been done. A theory, on the other hand, is supported by evidence: it's a principle formed as an attempt to explain things that have already been substantiated by data." End quote! Eric, so what do you really mean? "Opinion"? "Notion"? "Idea"? 🤔 Quote: "Remember: Idea is a noun that refers to a thought meant to be a possible course of action. Ideal is an adjective that means most suitable or perfect. It can also be a noun that refers to someone regarded as perfect."

If Able recalls being killed many times by Cain, that would seem to indicate that, somehow, he was aware of being in Hell while going through it. It seems that this would make some serious problems.
Very true, though there are still some fun moments, like Dan's conversation with Cain. Doing the math, only the last 1/4 of the season is slow and not as good. Plenty of good shows have had weaker seasons.
In terms of storyline, weak and unwanted pomp for the Cain character. But episodes are not bad. I guess Eric will enjoy because he seems to be a big fan of that guy.
"There's undoubtedly a Christ, they've been to church many times." That doesn't mean there's a Christ, it just means that some humans believe there is. But we've been shown many times in this series that what humans believe about celestial matters is often very wrong.
@@MegaAJCProductions Someone on Reddit had an idea which I liked so much I wrote a one-shot fanfiction about it: what if, in the Luciverse, Jesus was not God but actually another angel? In my story, I had it so that Jesus was an angel who tried to help humanity out, but in doing so he went against God's plan, so God punished him by taking away his powers so the Romans could crucify him. Lucifer shows up to chat while he's in the cave and saves his life to spite Dad, leading to the resurrection story. I really like that idea, even if it'll never be canon to the show.
Personally, I think Cain got the raw deal with God not picking his sacrifice and he was feeling so hurt and confused by it that he snapped and started punching. He didn't actually mean to kill Abel, it was an accident. Dude, Cain worked his ass off producing all those grains and fruits. He went through all the effort to find the best of the best. God just went, "Psssht, no thanks loser." Abel just had to make sure the sheep and goats didn't wander off or die of stupidity and then kill an especially fat lamb. God was like, "Bro, I love a BBQ!"
One way I've heard it taught is that the faithful that died before Jesus, were in kind of an in-between Heaven and Hell (With the exception of a few like Moses who were in Heaven before) until Christ's death and resurrection where those faithful were then brought to Heaven. I'm not entirely sure if that's backed up in scripture, someone more educated than me might be able to provide more info. The issue of the 144,000 is a little complicated but as I understand it, it refers to the end times and Jews (Not Christians) who will be saved during the end times, people like the Jehovah Witnesses have taught in the past that they are the 144,000 until they get beyond that number. But eh, I'm no expert on all this, I'm open to being corrected.
The Bible says that the Lord banished Cain from the settled country. Cain feared that in his exile he could be killed by anyone seeking revenge because he murdered Abel, so the Lord gave him a sign for his protection and a promise that if he were killed, he would be avenged sevenfold. So the mark of Cain was like a gift from God to Cain to protect him from being killed. It didn’t make him immortal or mean that he could never die, it just made it so that he could live his life out without the fear of being killed, because anyone who saw his mark knew that if they killed him, the Lord would seek vengeance seven times over.
