    Thank you for a simple explanation of the testing modes, very helpful and much more clear than the printed instructions.

    I was wondering how to do the test modes. This helped a lot. Thank you!

    I have watched several reviews of the CTEK MUS 4.3, and what most never mention is the exact model they have. There are 3 different models of the CTEK MUS 4.3. The 1065, the 1078 (Polar) and the 1077 (Test & Charge). I have the basic I suppose, which is the 1065. Charge, Recon and 8 steps like the other models, just works differently than the others. If I were to get another, I might opt to find a 1077 that also performs tests and charge functions. For what it is worth :) I believe this review is on a 1077 model. Nice stuff too :)

    Is the starting test the same as a load test ?

    i have a BMW M235I, [start stop function], i do very very low mileage, how often is it recommended to charge [ once a week, once a fortnight ??] appreciate advice as dont wont to under or over use the charger

      If possible I would recommend leaving the charger on your car until your ready to drive it again. The charger acts like an automatic battery maintainer that will never overcharge the battery nor will it damage the electrical system of the car.

    100th like! Lol awesome video, its a shame CTEK didnt put as much effort into their promo vids and manuals... can the recon mode be used for a battery that won't start the engine?

      Yes, the only downside is that the battery needs to be at least 4 volts for the charger to recognize it. So it does depend on how discharged your battery is.

    How long does it take to charge a 12v battery.. roughly ?

    • @HighTechBatterySolutionsInc
      @HighTechBatterySolutionsInc  8 років тому +2

      +Randy Murray It would depend on two things - the capacity or size of the battery and how discharged it currently is. If you were using the CTEK MUS 4.3 charger, charging an average 12 volt car battery up after a heavy discharge could take 6 to 8 hours.

    Good morning. I am giving a slow charge to a BMW and some lights inside the dashboard are blinking. Is this normal? Thanks.

    • @HighTechBatterySolutionsInc
      @HighTechBatterySolutionsInc  5 років тому

      Do you know what lights specifically are blinking? Putting a charge on the battery will not have any adverse effects on your car's computer system - especially with a CTEK model.

    Hallo, I have a battery TAB Magic 85Ah/ 800A about 2,5 years in Ford Galaxy TDCi 2,2L 129kW, m.y. 2008. I run the car about 10km to my work and 10km back home, sometimes some trip with the family. In average about 15000km/ year. The car is full of electronics and especially in the winter the battery shows normally 12,0-12,3V although I fully charge it by battery charger or by long journey. If I use the car every day there is no problem with cranking, but with longer spaces, eg 5 and more days with combination of temperatures below zero I am afraid the battery will be empty. I have ordered this CTEK charger and looking for RECOND mode to get the battery back to the life. Can you please confirm if this is feasible or the battery is dead and I have to by a new one. Thank you.

      @HighTechBatterySolutionsInc  4 роки тому

      I would recommend running the recondition mode on the charger and once completed get your battery tested at an auto shop. The testing will most likely be free and it will eliminate the possibility of any issues with your battery. If the battery tests good then you know for sure that the electronics in the car are what's causing the drain on your battery. If that's the case, anytime you let the car sit for more than 3 days you should hook up the CTEK charger to keep the battery primed and ready to go.

    • @premyslhruby9095
      @premyslhruby9095 4 роки тому

      @@HighTechBatterySolutionsInc I did the test of battery draining by car electronics and after about 30 minutes after closing, switching off of everything in the car I greached the same ampere value as demanded by Ford = 0,019 to 0,021A. So I thing the car electronics is fine. I thing the main reason of present battery status is running my car on short distances (mainly about 10km, in the city) together with using lot of auxiliary electric equipment in the car (heating, ventilation, lighting, ..) during winter time. During summer time I do not need to solve any battery issue.
      My idea is by recond mode to get the battery to the life and one or two times per mont hook up the CTEK charger to charge the battery.

    Can l have this plugged into a car battery for a more then 5months? does it trickle charge and will it do any harm if not what is longest amount of time l can have it hooked up to the car battery?

    • @HighTechBatterySolutionsInc
      @HighTechBatterySolutionsInc  7 років тому

      This charger can be left plugged into your car for an indefinite amount. The charger will not harm the battery by over charging nor will it hurt any of the electrical systems in the vehicle.
