    Gabriielle I love your work ... after 20+ years of owning yachts, there is only one way to install anything - and that's to aim for perfection ! Take your time and use the best possible components is the best advice I have ever been given. A job done well is so much more enjoyable ... and it keeps paying into the future.

    Engine installation looks good!
    Now when you have everything connected, remember to check that you have no electrical connection or conductivity between the gearbox and the engine.

      Very good to check because another guy with a Volvo had a missing isolation washer. The dealers don’t know about this and they don’t check.

    Hello Gabriele ! I am always amazed by your taste for quality workmanship. I learn a lot by looking at your videos. It give me good ideas for the maintenance of my own boat.
    I am a little concerned about the hose passing true the fuel lines (6:50 on the video). A diesel engine vibrate a lot and I think that the hose might suffer from abration if it is not well protected from rubbing against those fuel lines. Of course, it will not append overnight but, better safe than sorry.

    • @sea4see
      @sea4see  3 роки тому

      Hey mate same my concern I will move outside that hose I don’t like too! Thx for advise!!!’

    Hi! Great video as always! Just would like to ask you where did you install the vacuum valve? I couldn’t see it usually stays after the raw water pump or after the heat exchanger.

    • @sea4see
      @sea4see  3 роки тому

      What you meaning vacuum valve?

    • @asennaydenov6461
      @asennaydenov6461 3 роки тому

      I mean anti syphon valve that prevents overflow the engine with raw water.

    • @sea4see
      @sea4see  3 роки тому

      No I did t install it. Ready I’m my hand but I need to make the first trial in open sea with Volvo mechanic… check everything and if need I install straight away I’m at the limit border to install or not install it as the instruction followed

    • @asennaydenov6461
      @asennaydenov6461 3 роки тому

      @@sea4see Well if that me I wouldn't think for a second because this is serious. Ok let's say that the mechanic says that the syphon valve is needed after the sea trial. Well after can be to late if you get sea water inside your engine... I am asking you because tomorrow I'm going to install the same D1-30 on friend boat and I know how careful you are taking decisions about work and design. I hoped that have already been true the dilemma where to place the syphon valve. Please don't hesitate install it. I personally like the vetus model with the drain tube because the drain can be installed in the cockpit and if there is malfunction on this valve it will start leaking and you will see it to close the seacock.

    • @sea4see
      @sea4see  3 роки тому
