Yep, Prodigy went with the Robinsons because because Issac didn’t try to make waves and get out of his contract. Essentially low cost operators, Prodigy didn’t want to spend big money on four players and went with the least costly pair. They already knew Buhr was looking for elite pay and would have had to pay substantial money to keep Harris, too. With Simon, Nicklas, and possibly Eagle gone, Discmania has got the funds to sign some big names.
@@joeblow2426 it sounds like you are trying to place the blame on Gannon, when the whole reason why he tried to get out of his contract is Prodigy failing to deliver on their promises. He cited multiple things that they promised him and failed to deliver, royalties he was owed and didn't receive until after they tried suing him and his mother for breech of contract. And it was prodigy who very deliberately made sure to put every single detail in the contract for him to sign while only making verbal promises to him knowing that his youth and inexperience he would believe them, and then they just turned around and said "hey, we didn't put any of that in writing so it doesn't count". That alone made me lose all interest in that company, and the P Model S is an amazing disc, I have been throwing it almost since I started playing, and I still bag it but I will never buy another prodigy product. I was taught a person is only as good as their word, and you shouldn't have to have a written contract, hundreds of pages of forms, and attorneys to keep a promise. You give your word, the end. If your word's no good, you're no good.

I love mvp but the best move for Gannon is discraft they are very good at building brands like Ab or Ezra Aderhold

Would love to see Gannon at MVP. But I don’t see that happening with Simon’s recent acquisition. They are dropping everything just to get his discs out and struggling with that. We’re still waiting for stock releases of discs that came out 6 months ago. Trance, Tempo now the Detour. If they added one more major player that got his own creator series discs they wouldn’t be able to keep to their regular releases.
Also Gannon has said he likes his drivers domey, besides the new Time Lapse MVP is not known for that.

Latitude 64 doesn't have a big MPO player but they have the $$$ and the ability to let him design some new molds.
I won't pretend to understand the nuances and budgets of disc golf manufacturers, but on the surface, for Prodigy to not empty the vaults for Gannon 1-2 years ago seems beyond comprehension. I think anyone who follows disc golf closely could tell Gannon was rocketing towards contention for being the best player. I tell everyone who talks disc golf that Gannon is goated already. He may not be able to secure as many championships as McBeth in what will be a much more competitive era, but the kids going to be on the Mount Rushmore of the sport in 15-20 years if he is able to stay healthy.

To be honest Niklas leaving discmania is bigger suprise for me. I wonder if he is going to go with another finnish company or if he is going to go for them big bucks with some american company

Top three choices I wish for him would be DD, MVP or Disccraft.

Having followed F1 for so many years I an pretty used to silly season, driver swaps, intential rumours spread by managers etc. But now disc golf is another level of silly season 🤪 I freakin’ love it 🤘 My prediction is that Gannon will go to LØFT simply because there are 4 letters both in Buhr and LØFT 😋

I don't disagree with that Prodigy could take better care of their players but I don't get the hate they get from suing Gannon after he tried to brake his contract.
Tell me a profession where you can just walk out of your current contract and its obligations without consequences?
With the lead of Seppo Paju and Väinö Mäkelä Prodigy is doing such a good job in Europe that I personally decided to celebrate Gannon leaving by building an all-Prodigy-bag 🔥
If Discmania releases Eagle ... Gannon would make sense... Axiom/MVP has their face in Simon... Disccraft has Their face in Paul... Dynamic is closely associated with Ricky, Kristen with Lat 64, Matty-O with Westside... If we follow that line and Discmania becomes a part of House of discs they need a Face as well... Just saying. And since Discmania's discs have been made by House of Discs their disc feel is consistently amazing but its still Discmania inventive with marketing and creating hype both of their mystery boxes this time around were amazing... We shall see.

I’m betting on MVP. Not just because he doesn’t follow them on social media, but because he really emphasized on wanting his own line of disc. I’m not saying that Discraft or the other company’s wouldn’t make that easy for him. Simon joined MVP, and just a few months went by then BOOM Simonline drops. If it’s not MVP then it’ll be Discmania, but i’m leaning more towards MVP! Plus Simon signed a $10,000,000 contract for ten years as a veteran player. Who knows what they would do for Gannon for as young as he is, and the potential he has the longer he plays.
Buhr dont sell near the amount of discs simon does. So getting the same value would be very hard. I dont dislike Buhr by any means but Lizotte has a far more media friendly family vibe. I woulnt hesitate to go up to Lizotte but I would with Buhr.

Those mystery boxes were probably planned well before any talk of Gannon on the table. They announced the PD2, P3X and TD during the year of the sword announcement.

Innova is one of the only companies that doesn’t need young sponsored players. Their name is already well established.
Pretty much all of their young players sales come from their relationship with Infinite.

I saw this over on FB. This kid is a class A troll, and I love it. Isaac and Ezra need to be looking elsewhere because Prodigy will tarnish their personal brand. I think Prodigy signed their own death warrant personally.

I'm a Simon fan and think (and agree with you) that Gannon on MVP with Simon and Conrad would be amazing. Would also help with having someone this young to help with promoting DG with the young crowd. Simons not getting any younger and would help free up time for him and Conrad. Which in turn would help Gannon grow his fan base, got to start somewhere.

He dropped a line for most of the big name manufacturers i mean yes ik hoping he joins DD or trilogy in general but with how he worded it its impossible to say until the announcement is made
Prodigy screwed this up big time. They're getting saved by Isaac Robinson and will continue to need him to succeed.
They could've secured Gannon and Harris while also keeping Isaac while looking to secure a popular younger player similar to Babcock such as Kyle Klein, Cole Redalen, Hailey King, or Anthony Barela down the line. That would be a young, likeable, talented and extremely marketable roster, that would continue to attract the attention of younger players as they find the sport.
If he had behaved like Isaac or Kevin, Prodigy would surely have done everything to keep him.
