I had the same problem and solved it by taking out the plastic with some force, nicely cleaned the interior, and sealed it with universal transparent sillicone.
It will not short out because of the water, you can throw a 12V car bulb with its fitting in a pond to look at the fish and it will keep working without shorting out. I did it as a kid (metals conduct better than water - current takes the easiest route). I have the same water-in-tail-light issue with my '12 Chrevrolet Cruze. Love your vids!
JanAndHenk it’s not about currant taking the easier route the water does conduct 12v but with such little currant because of it’s resistance that it doesn’t matter
I had the same issue, actually when someone replaced the bulb either by mechanic or by yourself put the light back in properly. My light was full of rain water as well. What I did opened it dry it replaced the top fused bulb and l noticed it was not placed properly as it has big circle which fits into a black circle seal which you had to pull out which would make water tight. If you put straight cover back, it would creat a gap which would allow water to penetrate and cause water damage. Mine is perfectly fine now.

I have the same. Just drill a few small holes in the outer plastic case in the bottem so the water can flow away.
Fix and drive aż ciężko mi uwierzyć że to Ty byłeś kiedyś naszym mentorem i źródłem wiedzy a teraz sam pytasz o porady

It's not just electrical problems that are potentially a concern. Water dissolves the reflective coating which could make it illegal.
it will seriously corrode the bulb holders and metal , Electroloysis makes a real mess of things

Emptying the water out is not exactly fixing it, Where / How is the water getting inside?
through the sealing
@@fixanddrive , the main gasket on the back or do you mean the round sealing grommet ?
Silikon zamiast uszczelki :D
New lamps ... Better not Depo ...
