Tbf, when I heard about the anti sap cit armour, I wasn't exactly sure if it then could do the smolensk funny, as they share the same cit thickness and both are fairly thin. Tho I tried to shoot it with few bbs in a training room and cits weren't too consistent so I guess I will have to see or play it more
would you advice to get Svea before Ragnar if i care about solo win rate? I have very good aim btw. Im afraid that Ragnar suffers a little from powercreep with more and more DDs with >25mm HE pen in the game, Hoffmann, Hull etc that 25mm plating isnt as good as it was.
@@MrSniperdude01 iirc it's not restricted on the upcoming CB season, but i suppose it might be in future seasons if its too good. right now petro, napoli, and nevsky are banned outright as well as the hybrids, and then you only get one out of DM, moskva or stalingrad. so it seems they might be wanting to restrict the number of radars. no svea restrictions though, maybe because it only has a 9 km radar, or maybe it just hasn't had time to shine yet. idk im not a balance expert
I agree about svea being a toxic ship, especially towards destroyers and some cruisers. However some of the things you said about the ship are kind of overexaggerating how good the svea actually is. The fires per minute that svea outputs is the same as that of nevsky, zao and yodo, none of which are commonly described as having amazing or insane firestarting (around 10.3 fires per minute stock), its middle of the pack for t10 cruisers. Austin without the gimmick consumable has 8.6 fires per minute as an example, so svea only sets about 20% more fires than austin with no MBRB usage. Saying that the dpm is double that of ragnar is also not true, ragnar with fearless brawler active has about 196k he dpm and svea with top grade gunner has around 253k, so around 30% more he dpm and not 100%. Double ragnar dpm would be 400k which is what worcester gets with TGG active. With ragnar's insanely improved dispersion, one could even argue that the effective hitting dpm of ragnar is higher than svea's if the player can aim. Overall it is still a very good ship due to the insanely toxic consumables and the insane gun angles, but the firestarting and the dpm aren't as strong as you make it out to be in the commentary, they're usable and decent for sure but nothing crazy. Ragnar is in general better than svea and if someone is considering getting svea they should probably get ragnar first (as you also mentioned in the end). If someone really enjoys their ragnar and wants a different flavor of it then svea is a great ship to get.
Ive noticed this with rager reviewers like hagosteadman (and to a lesser extent gr4ngbang) where they grossly overinflate a ships capabilities and overexagerate how powerful some aspects of the ship can be for clouts sake and it can get somewhat annoying but i can give credit for gr4ngbangs case in that hes mostly more accurate and closer to truth than that other hog brained youtuber i mentioned where he'll spew outright falsehoods (like montys not getting citadeled broadside or cerberus having "good or decent armor" lmao)
The armor scheme is even more demented. It's 70 sides and 35 roof on the citadel. 35 isn't overmatcheable and at 70mm sides you can just go full flat. I will purchase this boat. Sadly you need this kind of Ships to Carry in Solo. Otherwise you get cancer in randoms espacielly when all the Chrismas captains are running it down 😂

Thoughts on svea in competitive ?
I didnt understand the double the Ragnar dpm, it only has about 30% better dpm than Ragnar
I heard that it has 2 times rag DPM in testing or something, may have been wrong and I think they also nerfed the DPM

you wont see it in comp unless 12kms and 10kms are outright banned, restricted or banned by the teams
