No problem rus! I wouldn't have known where to start with them without your videos they were actually my first isopods i got so you gave me a great head start on husbandry
My duckies are finally breeding and doing well! Since I only have them to keep as pets (vs sell) I like having the different morphs in one tank like a gem mix. Makes the enclosure more interesting to look at for me. Your ducky video was SO helpful for my tank!
Also fun fact the lines on them flouresce under black light it helps a lot for sorting them out of their old substrate especially with my panda kings for the really small mancae
Hi @Aquarimax Pets - Rus, I watched your video about cohabit isopods but I want to get more specific when it comes to cubaris sp Questions: 1. Given there's enough space in the bin with good amount of nutrients, humidity, half dry, half moist - can cubaris sp like Lemon Blue and White Ducky live together? BumbleBee and Cappuccino? Red Panda and Penguin? 2. Considering the size, will cubaris sp attack other cubaris sp? Or it's only about the food where competition might take place? 3. Any suggestion of cubaris sp that can live together? Not for the purpose of interbreeding or morphing, but want to see if cubaris sp have harmony in the bio-active. Thank you!
@@Bunszoi I haven’t tried any of the combinations you mentioned, but you could experiment a bit. I think with plenty of space and other resources, both would probably thrive for a time, but, as the populations grew, one species would eventually have an edge over the other and slowly crowd it out. That has been what I have seen, but you never know until you try it.
@@Aquarimax thank you for that. As long as no attack happening in cubaris sp, I think they can cohabit. But when time comes that they overcrowded the bin, then time for separation. Thank you, Rus! 😀
hello! i’m new to keeping isopods and i have a couple questions. I have dwarf whites right now and im wondering what plants i could keep them with, also, would it be possible to house them with another species?
@@f4iry.dust444 They do great with almost any plants! They don’t tend to get along with other isopods in the long run…the others will likely be outcompeted.
hi rus, i just have a small question about my hoffs. i fed them some dog kibble earlier and a bit of a brawl started between my giant male and one of the larger females. they wrestled over that piece for a while, not leaving even when i put another piece right next to them or even when i nudged the male (he was munching a bit to close to the females antennae). i was just wondering, is this normal? it seemed quite unusual. is there any way i can prevent this in the future? my other females werent overly bothered, just taking some nibbles on the spare pieces but i feel like a brawl shouldnt be erupting over one piece of kibble when there’s plenty
@@Aquarimax the colony is quite new, at the moment i have one male for sure but i dont know when you can tell for the younger ones. i have 3 smaller ones, 4 scaber sized ones, 4 large females and one very large male. i have one large hide and am planning to add another. do you think that could be the problem?

How did nature make such an adorable little thing 😭
they definitely win the cutest isopod face award in my book! Thanks for the update Rus and I hope you enjoy a nice weekend.

Watching that little guy unroll himself and tiptoe away at the end was so cute, your footage is so pleasing!
I love your duckies! I hope all your cultures grow like crazy!

0:10 ok but why does the rock on the left look like an unhappy scrub daddy 😭😆
LOL, I never saw that in that limestone piece, but now I can’t unsee it 🤣
😂
They seem to be doing pretty well! So cute!
I love their appearance, sadly can't afford any at this point! I do keep cubaris PK's and sharks though!
They are sooooo cute!
I enjoy this so much! Amazing content, best wishes to you and your future projects! 🌻
Rubber Ducky your the one, you guys make everything so much fun!
Lovely little seashell plate for isopods!
Rubber duckies are awesome, hope you can have the dark and light ducky strains quicker :D
they look so cute like squishy toys that i thought they were fake 😭🥺
Love the Rubber Duckies!
Rubber duckies!!!💗 thanks for your videos 💗
Has there really been any updates to how one should do the husbandry or not really?
It depends on who you talk to, 🤣 but the methods I have been using for a while work quite well
I love isopods :)
Do you have little white fungus spores in your container? I find it really hard to control those but it seems like you're not too worried about them.
I used to have issues with those, haven’t had them cause trouble for quite a while
My favourite 😍 but about £12 each here!
Same here in Canada, but far, far more after shipping.
@steve-adams oh yes, I bet! I'd like to try them but as they will be my first pods I'll start with something easier.

@@portatoman9321 Hi! How many males and female do you have? You may need to separate them, or add more hides

Do you have any ideas why the isopods losing there colors. (゜o゜;
The jury is still out on that
