26:39 i want to clarify something,the clones that they were doing for the graduation exam to be accepted in the academy this year were not shadow clones,they were regular clones,shadow clones is the one that is forbidden(the one naruto learned from the scroll)
To add on to this the basic Clone Jutsu is more or less an illusion, whereas Shadow Clones are flesh and blood and can think and act independently. And from Naruto’s example an alarming amount of Shadow Clones can be created. Hence it’s forbidden/advanced because imagine having the ability to create an army of yourself.
and btw shadow clones arent forbidden, the multi shadow clone jutsu is forbidden
Not to be well actually, but it is the multiple shadow clone that is forbidden. The reason is because making shadow clones split the users chakra among the clones, the more clones the less chakra you have and if you reach zero you die.
Basicly in the Narutoverse there is dozen type of clones.
The basic one is just an illusion that cannot touch things, Shadow clones can actually fight.
The "Forbidden technique" is enabling you to summon 1000 of them at once. And takes alot of Chakra wich is essencially Ki energy that naturally replenishes in time. All the Ninja magic aka. Jutsu needs it.
Oh and the log thing is basicly a replacement technique. You switch with a nearby log wich is left where you were before.
To further clarify Shadow clones aren't forbidden. The multiple shadow clone jutsu is and it's not forbidden to use, it's forbidden to teach because the nature of how shadow clones work. Makes the multi shadow clone potentially dangerous to the user.
Shikamaru's "see through mesh shirt" is actually a light woven armor. Lots of ninja including Naruto and Hinata also wear it under their clothes

26:39 what they learned in class was (clone jutsu) which is a mere mirror image, an illusion. It's meant to throw people off, what Naruto uses is ( shadow clone jutsu) which he learnt from the 'forbidden scroll' he stole, it's an advance jutsu in which he creats physical copies, it can function on it's own basically .

What they were training in class is the normal Clone jutsu, which is just you make like a visual clone to decieve an enemy, however what naruto learnt was from that scroll of sealing he stole in episode 1 and was what he used against the other teacher that attacked him and iruka, which is like a forbidden jutsu scroll hidden away in the village. His clone the "Shadow Clone" is a tangible clone with no specific chakra type/nature, that has it's own like sentience and can be hit and hit others which is why he fights with it. Also loved the reactions, felt really fun and genuine, can't wait to see more of this show on your channel, this was my first anime and is very special to me so it's always awesome watching genuine reactions to it and getting that second hand enjoyment

So nostalgic to see how all these light-hearted moments tie in to the heavier backstories and thoughts during the scenes especially by the adults in later episodes
this is one of the best early naruto reactions I've ever seen! really like your sense of humour and how quickly you understood the characters. i always feel it's a little hard to recommend naruto to poeple because it's pretty dated, but im glad you were able to recognise what was a product of its time and what is still good about it. subscribed :)

Loved your reaction, couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the title 🤩.
this is 1 of the rare dubs that I actually likes although some moments I dislike coz it's less impactful down the line, one if those is 21:24 in sub he said "my first impression is that I hate you" it will be more valuable at some point in shippuden later on.
also Naruto keeps saying "believe it" here coz in the original he has what is like a verbal tic in which he adds a (ttebayo/dattebayo) after almost every sentence. but unfortunately the dub drops it after a bit.

@soloraiju yeah it was actually a dub mistake, he’s supposed to be saying “ya know” Instead of “believe it”. They take it out at first and eventually fix it to what he’s supposed to say but it’s way later on in Shippuden. The dub is still awesome though, some characters are just more well done and there are some VA legends that make it on this anime too. You’ll recognize more than a few I’m sure lol

And don't bother switching to sub , if you enjoyed dub go ahead with it , its pointless to hop around , I personally watched it in dub and completed it . Let not people's bias influence how you experience the show. All that matters is that you get to enjoy and comprehend it.

Im a LONG time naruto fan and have seen both dubbed and subbed a few times. The dub in Naruto is really really good, with accurate translations and superb voice actors. Part 1 of Naruto is one of the only anime I actually recommend to see dubbed, and anyone who has seen Shippuden knows how cool all the antagonists sound haha
first time I saw it in dub too then other times sub. sometimes people make fun of it but honestly its not bad and dub helps you understand what the heck if going on especially if its your first time

Naruto’s color scheme is inspired by Goku, while Kishimoto was not an massive dragon ball fan ( He was more of a fan of racing anime) he saw Dragon Ball as it was and respected Toriyama immensely for the show so Naruto’s current color scheme is him paying respect to Son Goku, as the manga goes on he would start to appreciate dragon ball a lot more, he is also good friends with the writer of One Piece.

The Naruto dub starts off a little weird but a few episodes it starts to improve and somewhere between episodes 30 and 40 the actors start to get comfortable with their roles which leads to some of the best dub work in all anime imo.

I really hope you continue this series. I started in a similar position were I had only really seen Dragon Ball Z. But recently, I watched all of Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Boruto for the first time and I got hooked right away.

Naruto has by far one of the best OSTs. The flute really captures the show's essence. Also the emotional tracks are too good. Captures all the sufferings caused by endless cycle of hatred in this world. Beautiful.

I think I obsessed with Naruto reactions because each reactor has a different reaction.
To be fair, the first arc on Dub had some weird moments and you could tell the actors hadn’t gotten used to their characters yet…
But it gets amazing once they do get used to it; like “THE SCROLL OF SEALING, NOO!” was one of those weird moments🤷🏾♂️😂
His reaction to "there's no one waiting for me at home anyways" was exactly as mine in that moment I knew it would be a great Animr🔥🔥🔥
Bro this show is gonna get real very quick. I bet you will cry at least 3 times in this show. It's not masterpiece where you can't find plot holes, there are few dud moments but the characters themselves are so good and cool that the show becomes your comfort zone. You're on a ride. Keep uploading 5 episode format. It's best format to speed up the show and don't forget to skip filler episodes. There's list of episode numbers on internet where it will mention which episode is filler so you can skip it. (There are few fillers which are actually fun so do watch them)
as much as i love naruto and watching naruto reactions,u need to have somebody to check comments for spoilers before u read them,because some people can't help themselves

As a Naruto fan, this was a very entartaining video to watch. You are a great reactionist! I hope you will stick with Naruto for a little bit longer. I personally find some of the early episodes, especially with Konohamaru a lil cringy. All the juicy parts of this anime still wait for you ahead 😁 Next arc is a really good one!

Awesome to see you reacting to Naruto! It gets even better as things start rolling. It starts off kinda slowly and is comedy heavy but it gets so good.
So in class they were learning the clone technique (these are simple illusions). Naruto learned multi-shadow clone jutsu from the scroll. Shadow clones are actual physical replicas. Multi-shadow clone is forbidden because it takes a lot of chakra and it is easy for the user to accidentally die using it. Information, exertion, etc. is passed from each clone to the user when the clone disappears.
Really happy that you went into the show with a open mind, seems like channels who post similar content will try to trash it every moment they get, your complaints were funny and accurate. Hope to see a part two :)

No jokes, there is something more in Naruto than Bleach and One Piece. It's not a surprised it was a fan favorite back in the day. It may have disapoint me in the end but I'll come back to it with pleasure. It's been 8 years, time to forgive and move on ^^

The shadow clone skill was one of the skills in the scroll naruto took in ep. 1 he opened it up and learned one skill. He lamented at first that it was a clone skill which he was deficient in but his great amount of inner chakra allowed him to learn it before any of his similarly aged peers could.

Personally I think the sub is much better than the dub, but Naruto dub isn’t too bad as far as anime dubs go so you should be fine sticking with it if you really want. I think the sub line delivery is much better though, glad to see you reacting to it regardless.

YES! The creator of Naruto is a HUGE FAN of DBZ and there are MANY allusions to Goku and those characters. The color scheme IS in fact Goku inspired. There are huge, obvious inspirations later but are spoilers somewhat. I cant think of any other besides the two. But im sure there are some.

I never considered that Naruto's clothing colors were perhaps inspired by Goku, and Sasuke by Vegeta. That's actually a very solid theory, good catch.

In fact, I am starting to seriously learn English (the first foreign language for us was French, which I master very well, as is Arabic being my mother tongue), for English, I get by at written but, distinguish the words when the Americans speak is not easy for me lol, and then this reaction phenomenon saw the light of day on UA-cam... lately, I have been watching the reactions of people like you, reactions on Japanese anime that I love and it's great, I'm improving while having fun ;)
- For my students, I like "one piece" and other anime (manga), but my favorite remains Naruto, so my students who are fans of Naruto benefit from it against my other students who are fans of one pieces lol, like: " we have our teacher who is with us losers" lol 😁
in addition the students are surprised to see an adult watching anime (manga), I answer them: I started watching them when I was very little in 1993 (DBZ, Saint Seiya etc) it is not by growing up that I will stop.😎

The one they teach in class is a clone jutsu, which is basically just an image that can’t really do much with, however the one naruto learned from the scroll of sealing is the shadow clone jutsu, which makes actual real clones that can talk, think and even act independently.

20:15 Sakura gets a lot of unfair flak from fans, specifically for stuff like this. Yeah, she had no empathy for Naruto, but you will see it subtly demonstrated from here on that she listened when Sasuke called her out and is trying to do better.

Kakashi's VA in the dub is so good. There's some cringy moments, sure, but when it counts its almost always hits you right in the feels.
