Hi Mia! I'm not sure if you're gonna see this.. But I know this trick to keep tie-up shirts a bit more secure so you don't need to worry about it being untied and falling off.
If you loop the ties before making a knot or bow, loop the 2 stringed /tying parts twice, rather than once, and pull tight. You'll see the ties will stay secure on their own, then just tie your regular bow or knot 😊😊
