If he’s going to call with a weak hand or if he has a jack, he should be heavy re raising or folding, you can’t play a weak hand and call like a moron, then you just lose money.
What worse hands call a bigger Bet though? A small Bet like that targets smaller aces, and som QJ, J10, ect. If you get called on a bigger bet you will get beat a lot of the time.
@@sylvestertorp5192 that's not how u should be thinking. Also 65 is 1/3 which is really small already and it gets Called by other worse aces and a jack
@@sylvestertorp5192 depends on your strategy, bigger (polarised) bet strategies at the right frequency (bluff to value ratio) should be called and are very easy to make exploitative adjustments off. If they overfold you can bluff the river more, if they over call you can do bluff more for value. This requires being able to sit at a table for long enough so you know each player well enough, but this should almost always be the case live. I reckon it’s harder to do when you’re multi-tabling online against less known players.
Not sure about $90-$110 it is also doesn't give you fold equity if your opponent raises on the river I would say $80 max bet on the river. Only an Ace or better hands will call a $90 bet there isn't much combination ax hand you are beating I would say $45 bet can get called by much more combation versus ax hands. I think $90 is a good bet if the players are loose players or you have an aggressive image. However the $45 bet is exploitative since it signals one pair hands most of the time. If I was the other guy I would hand raise $245 on the river.
Betting the river you only need to be ahead 50% of the time to be profitable also at the lowest stakes people rarely raise without having you dominated there I’d bet and if the raise snap fold
The guy bet about 1/4 of the pot, so he needs to make his opponents fold just 20% of the time to break even with two blank cards. Personally, I'd never do that at this kind of board because the natural answer would be 3x raise. And oops, now the guy is in trouble guessing whether he has the best hand or not - and has to fold. So he's just lucky and should not give lessons to others.
Each loss (especially a big one...) teaches the loser a lesson. Ask me how I know... I'm very well educated. Simple luck is a big factor. Experience is indispensable. Mike Sexton said, "Those who chase straights and flushes (in Vegas) arrive on planes and leave on buses!"
Questıon 1: Why you posted a second straddle of 20 (straddle was 6, so yours needed to be 12, rıght?) Questıon 2: Why was that player allowed to muck durıng a showdown? Even ıf he knew he shall lose.
Not sure why he check called but I believe any more than 45 I'm thinking he would have folded. No way I'm check calling on the river. Im raising and I'm dam sure ain't mucking😂
I would check the river… there a ton of Qt hands who would play like this.. I don’t know, maybe I am wrong, but u have enough showdown value to win the pot and I think every paired Jack shouldn’t call at this point.
Learn your sizings. That's your lesson. This is horrific pre flop. 1/3/6 because straddle is on, and somebody limps and you open to 20$ ? Are you kidding me? This should be 30$ minimum, everytime. Probably 35$.
We all thought it was gonna be a loss
I will admit, it was a pleasant surprise to see them win.

It seems normal no? People do that on poker stars
what’s wrong with it? it seems normal and is the way i see them sometimes
You have to work on your bet sizing on various streets. The river bet was way too small. Maybe next time go for 90-110 dollars on river for value.

Every time I watch your vids you aren’t doing the proper value raises based on pot size. Don’t be scared to put bigger bets out there, bud.
Me - "why is he block betting the river in position?"
Now I understand, he isn't grasping appropriate sizing.
Could you explain? I'm pretty new and am interested as to what this means
Any good players would easily exploit that bet sizing on the river
@@jdogggg9002 How so?
Plus a solver would pretty much always bet that flop.
Can you please do a video explaining this please 😭. I understand loads of card games but poker. I can't do.

respectfully sizing is horrific man. 1/4 pot in a multi way pot on the river.
Why? He put them on a weak hand, one guy folded the river.
Betting small or checking is the right play on the river there
@@willowandluka5302 Maybe but good players will see this as thin value and raise or fold 9/10 times.

Your sizing on the river was too small. You could have squeezed a little more value on that hand. I would have went with at least $75.
No 🧢 At least. 1/4th is tiny. I figured the mistake was not betting high enough
Yes! I'd say 100-110 and fold to a raise

You lost so much value on the river. Go 105-115 and fold to a raise imo
