Just ordered our Carerra stuff have been researching and reading manuals online. Your youtube channel is the first that has mentioned disabling the pit lap counting. Your videos are very informing they have answered several questions that I can not find information on anywhere. Thank you. I hope you get more subscribers please continue your videos.

Can you do a "fuel" race without the bluetooth app? Have the pit lane, but the bluetooth is back ordered. |
    thanks!

Yea you can. Not through smart race til you get the Bluetooth adapter. You can turn the fuel mode on on your control unit. Real mode is cool. As you burn fuel off you get faster but looser. You probably already figured that out tho. 🏁

John, for the life of me I cannot figure out where to place the second pit dedicated to a pace car. Should it be before or after the main fuel pit? What are the switch track rules to make sure the pace car pits only in its pit and not in the main fuel pit. Will the pace car switch into the fuel pit randomly also? At what point do you hit the ESC button when the pace car is running on the track to insure it lands in the right pit?

Okay, first things first. You do not need the track piece with the eye that says "fuel" to get the pace car to stop, so if you wish to relocate that piece to the main pit you can if you wish, it works either lane.
Rule #2. The pace car will random switch lane changers when running, then when recalled activate every lane changer it sees until it hits ANY pit lane entrance.
Rule #3 it doesn't matter where your dedicated pace car is located, before or after the main pit.
Rule #4. Relocate the sensor on the PIT LANE ENTRANCE FOR THE DEDICATED PACE CAR TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SLOT. this will allow only a modified pace car to enter this entrance.
Rule #5. Modify a chosen pace car by (after drilling a correct size hole in the correct place in the chassis) simply turning the chip 180 degrees, so the sensor diode is on the other side of the guide flag.
The rule for the modified pace car: will run only in one lane without changing lanes, either running, or when recalled.
The rule for the dedicated pace car lane: only a modified car can enter, no regular car can. This prevents accidental passage of driver controlled cars here, a big plus.
The modified pace car operates normally except for lane changing. It is activated and recalled by the ESC button. When recalled, the overhead lights (if equipped) will turn off, and the car will simply enter its dedicated spot the next time it reaches it, then stop.
      I hope this helps...

Have you used any of the layout planning software? My layout is growing and I wonder if you can put in your table dimensions and build it that way.
I've looked at Autobehnplanner and wondered if that was worth purchasing or should I just keep winging it. Don't want to end up with a container full of track I can't use.

Yes, I actually use an old version of Ultimate Racer that used to be free. Worked well... I'd be happy to share my table build (8'×16') in both a PDF and a CAD DXF if you like.

@@slotcarmayhem9765 My table(s) is different dimensions. 20 feet long. 8 x 4 at one end, 41 inches at the other end. 6ft, 5ft, 4ft in the middle. Middle is somewhat adjustable.

How many laps can you go on 1 tank of fuel? I am only getting 15 laps with fuel set to 10 on the control unit and it set to the ON position. We turn around 9 second laps. Maybe you could do a video on adjusting your fuel mileage. BTW, I enjoy your videos and find them to be a great source of information.

I am getting about the same. We actually stagger fuel tank sizes to "spread out" refueling sessions.
Changing the speed settings also control fuel consumption, as it appears to be based on trigger position. A slower car run full throttle will consume more fuel than a faster car run at partial throttle.
      Thanks for the kind words!!

@@slotcarmayhem9765 I just did a test on the track size. My track is approximately 2000 cm, I doubled the size to 4000 and got it up to 24 laps. I tryed again with 10000 and still 24 laps. Thanks for the help.

@@slotcarmayhem9765 I don't think the track size thing worked but i did get up to 35 laps by turning the speed up to 10, so thanks for that tip. LOL, now i need to keep them on the track.
