There are 8 total palletes to unlock. You get 2 for the first time, then you have to beat it 4 more times. After that, you have to beat it with a fatality/brutality for the silver and you have to beat it with a mirror match for gold. I have my actual main for the game as general shao, but since invasions is basically just down 2: the game, I have a different main altogether for invasions. Basically just pick a character with great base stats as your invasions main
trance + punching yourself is too good to be locked behind invasions. also funny to see when toxic mker dink overrides polite Canadian dink. titan battles will do that
Likely not. They’re just moves they can add for flavor without needing to think about the balance or how they affect other systems. It’s like the Minecraft April Fools updates.
I get why they put them in but it is kinda crazy how many damn moves every character has that are not usable. It feels like they just made a ton of moves THEN decided what archetype to make the characters and chose from the move pool.
I prefer the Kombat League palettes for his Order of Darkness skin, but my god was it a grind to get it. Toxic league really made me for work it but by the Elder Gods I wanted this Quan Chi skin. But I love this skin for him. Wading through the toxicity was really worth it in the end, at least for me. The titan battle unlocks the palette we see in the story but the one you get at grandmaster rank really has nice colours that fit his aesthetic, can't wait to see it in action when you get it.

I tried this myself earlier, as a mirror match, it's fucking awful because of the stupid damage type nonsense - Quan has chaos and dark, and chaos is weak to dark (or the other way around) so I was losing most of my health to single hits. Nearly made it but the "survive" component fucked me over. And Havik was last season's titan battle, so they repeat them the following season for those who missed it. Assuming they don't miss it again.

I wish they'd give Quan Chi his trance back. Make normal so they punch themselves as a damage ender, and ex stuns them for a launch.

I use the "show me your moves" relic for thes boss fights and i win 90% of the time. You have to taunt every 30 seconds or you die but its worth it.
How the hell do you use the Talismens? I've never figured it out.
