It’s absurd to me that this video only has a mere 25k views. This particular car is ridiculously significant and the video and sound quality are second to none here. Kudos.
This is just awesome, don’t think I’ve seen proper onboard of this car ever before. And what a demonstration of anticipating boost in these early turbo cars. Amazing, thanks
Wow!
Agree with comments below , totaly high level of POV video, nothing to compare! the rarity of classic sports cars with your point of view shot that brilliant, pls keep doing!
The tachometer of my 07 lancer has kinda the same problem it gets stuck at 120 kph I noticed that on the autobahn. Might be stuck at the 120 kph mark might need to take it out and wiggle a little on it might fix the problem.
Did a bit more digging--it's the type of tachometer. It's known as a "chronometric tach", and they were prominent on racecars all the way through the 1970s. The 917, 908, 906, 904, etc. all have similar tachs which seem to "jump" at 1000RPM increments.
@@flyingphoenix113 Second comment after 3 years? That's an impressive research :) I still would love to know what its benefits are supposed to be. Because it seems counter intuitive to what a driver would want to see, which is accurate immediate reading. This only introduces delay for some reason. Thanks for the comment, though. I'm glad to know now what it's called at least. I have since bumped into this feature in a racing simulator mod where it was just as strange and distracting as in this video.
@@frontcapone interesting, didnt know that, i mean, it seems like a simple mechanic analog thing, i thought it was, maybe not super accurate, but smooth since its conception. thanks

Only real car people know about this.
Absolutely agree. I have no idea how the heck this channel hasn't taken off yet!
@@dustinskillern9233 You said it!
One of most iconic turbo engine ever which has brilliant sound..
Oooo just listen to that turbo, nice
Best onboard video I've ever seen in my life. Stunning sound quality
Those turbo wind ups and flutters at the gear change, combined with the raw flat six noise, what a recipe 🤌🏽🪄

That turbo spool and boxer engine produce a beautiful harmony
THis must be epic to drive! reminds me a bit of my Porsche 930, which took as long as this to spool up, but when it finally goes, is GOES! :D

That sound is incredible!!
Lovely! The daddy of all turbocharged 911s. It all started with this one.

BEAST ..DREAM.....REAL PORSCHE
BOXER 6 2.1 L TWINTURBO 500 PS 750 KG PORCHE ON ITS SUPERLIGHTWHITGT GOES LIKE A ROCKET
I bet getting in boost is like taking off in a rocket lmaoo such a cool car
Looks like a lot of steering force. When I drive these in sim I tend to forget how physical these old race cars are to drive.
Waanzinnig, het lijkt wel een automaat.
Why is the tachometer so choppy?
Age, most likely. A lot of vintage tachs don't even "wake up" until a certain RPM.

Tachometer is the last thing on my mind.....it's all about the beautiful sounds she is making 🙆🏽♂️❤️🔥🔥
Wow
Why is the rpm counter not going smoothly? Is it normal with this car?
Sorry, but is it an antilag when he leaves the curve?
dream
Is that a door knob
Why is there what appears to be a doorknob to the right of the boost gauge?
That's the boost knob. Wind it up or down as needed.
GT Legends? 😉

Sexiest Porsche ever made

Too LOUD. I will stick to my Toyota. Thank toy
Are you gay?
sounds just like my miata
i hope they fixed that rev counter
Rev counters in that day and age weren’t as advanced so for more precision, they moved in ticks rather than being constantly changing.
