Celebrating 100 Years of JROTC - Omaha Burke High School

JROTC is celebrating 100 years! The Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps was originally created as part of the National Defense Act of 1916. The Omaha Public Schools was the first such program in the State of Nebraska to charter JROTC. Omaha Public Schools has seven high school programs. To highlight the 100th Anniversary of JROTC, we visited each high school to talk with students and staff about the history of the program and how it’s impacted their lives.
