It's not very complex, to be honest. :) I've played many games that were far more complex than this game. I have really enjoyed it a lot, it's a different beast than many other economic games, and has a very interesting game dynamics.
Rules update from the designer: The metro region is dictated by the pawn and not the region where you build! Missed that in the rules apparently! My bad! Great game, anyway! 😁
I believe in your building example the Regional Metro is Madras because Bangalore is in the south region and not in the east where Calcutta is! That is if I got it right and you need to use the Regional Metro from the building area: N,S,E or W!
I have only played the original GWT. But I have played hundreds of games over the last 40 years of all weights. It’s more about preference and depth to complexity ratio - and whether I can be bothered! of course I can be bothered if it is new and innovative and get the ratio right though!
Looks really nicely produced. Also seems very interesting mechanically. I wonder whether complexity kills it or not. I will have to check it out.

Thank you :)
This game looks so fun! I cant wait for this one. I hope it gets backed enough to deluxify the chits and other components.
Means a lot! We're close to 223% :) I see you backed it already!!

Could you do GWT: New Zealand?

I will try to get hold of the game, but I can't guarantee I will do a video, but I'll try.
21:57 When counting the distance, why do you start from Calcutta instead of Madras which is closer?
Nvm. I checked the rulebooks and Calcutta is the current round's Regional Metro (the region where White Pawn is at).
How this would play as a 2 player?
There's one automa player, very easy to administer, feels very "player-ish", and you can set the difficulty level anywhere from easy to hard.
