    I love how Jay plays every rock riff like he is on stage playing for 20k

    CTC make some seriously killer sounding pedals. They have great ears. I have this and the Killer V.

    My first tube overdrive was a Mesa Boogie V2 which I still use .. the clean and blues settings were my favourite ... 💛

    great pedal. I really appreciate how, unlike other bluesy rock guys, you actually take the time to play some chords for pedal demos haha.

    I love crazy tube circuits.. own the white whale and various pedsls have been in my GAS list.. this one though.. think doesn't do the music.. real tubes are always great but there are some solid state overdrives with more dynamic range or mojo tone... jay you are always amazing full of positive energy!! Keep going!!!

    I've used the Koch Pedaltone for many years. That thing can do everything. Channel 1 (clean), Channel 1 enhanced, channel 2 (drive), channel 2 boost, then a third button to switch on or off the OTS circuit (like an extra 0,5 watt power tube - not entirely sure, but it sounds killer) and then a fourth switch for a rhythm or a solo setting for every combination of sounds. Then it's got an fx loop, an output for clean amp in, an output for power amp in, an output to plug it straight into a desk, or an audio interface. And more.
    It doesn't make coffee, but apart from that....

    Playing Awesome As Ever, Does The Unit Play Better As The Tube warms Or Does It Have The Max when You Hit The Switch? The Breakup Is Rockin 👍👍🎶🎶🎸Humbuckers Rockin.

    Yeah.... sounds killer. I used to have one of the Seymour Duncan "Twin Tube Blue" pedals, sounded killer, but pretty big, sold it.

    That sounds absolutely amazing I’m looking to buy my first guitar amp ... I’m considering the Roland jc 40 because I can run in stereo but ive heard the Overdrive seems like doodoo on it ... do you think a pedal like this can make that amp sound good or decent on dirty tones

      I have both a JC40 and a Space Charged v2, and I love the combo! You get really good overdrive and distortion sounds, with tube harmonics and saturation that I’ve not been able to get with transistor ODs/distortion pedals. In addition, it gain stacks really well with both transistor overdrives and with fuzzes, gives the other pedals a really nice tube foundation to push. Love it, and highly recommend it!

      Sounds like that would be a slam dunk combo. Thanks for pitching in @peter herndon

  • @benjamingilmore825
    @benjamingilmore825 4 роки тому

    Anyone know if you can use the boost independently of the overdrive, ie use the boost even if the OD is off? Thanks great video as always!

    • @JayLeonardJ
      @JayLeonardJ  4 роки тому

      No, the boost is tied to the overdrive circuit.

    Got my bk Butler real tube overdrive and I use it for all genres! Garage rock. Prog rock. Death metal. Everything. Could use another tube overdrive but I gotta find one better

      @@auntjenifer7774 that sounds pretty narly! Nothing like a boost pedal smacking your amp in the face. I love the seymour duncan killing floor. It pushes super hard

    Jay I like your positive vibe. But i have to unsuscribe. The reason is you demo mostly with single coils and you just play in a hard hitting style.. you dont tweak the pedals, nor you show case single string whole notes, legato or sustain. You also never use Marshall amps. Take my opinion and maybe u can diversify the way you demo gear.

    • @JayLeonardJ

      No prob at all: thanks for giving the page a chance and it's sad to see you go. Check out guys like RJ Ronquillio and Pete Thorn. They are amazing guitarists, good friends, and have great demoing sensibilities: I am sure they will give you exactly what you are looking for in a pedal video :)

      @@JayLeonardJ U are a great guitarist yourself. I just wanted to give u a different angle in being honest why i felt like unsuscribing. Keep being a happy positive human being. Best regards.

    Twelve years ago I endorsed this valve pedal - it got discontinued but I still got one unit and I used it time to time. ua-cam.com/video/BzUXRFYJBDc/v-deo.html
