Been following your channnel from 1.5k subs. Hope by the end of 2023 you will have 100k sub. Keep uploading more
Not sure about that
nope. Btw the guy above me is fake.
Almost the end, sadly less than half that 😢
love your artistic choices for the thumbnails, graphs and presentation overall. these videos are super informative, don't let the viewcount fool you, a lot of people like me appreciate your work more than it might seem at first! merry christmas and happy new year from Spain!
Yep that's what I said, His thumbnails are one of the best one I've seen so far, Bet his CTR is pretty good
Feliz navidad
Keep up the fantastic work!
It is nice to see the lists and various cards still holding their own, many years on after release.
Happy a Merry Christmas to you and your family good sir!
Thanks Joe, you too!
@@IcebergTech joe....MAMA
Sorry about that i just had to
Found you couple of months ago, binged most of your archive series. Keep up the good work man! 👏
Your channel is really fun! Your videos have such production value, it doesn't even look like a relatively small channel. I'm glad the algorithm got me here.
Keep up the good work!
Great tier list. Would love to see the a 2070 super as I feel like it was by far the best value Turing card of its generation!
It’s actually starting to come down in price too, so it’s a possibility!
@@IcebergTech Yeah I feel like the 50 pounds over the 2060 is worth it for the 30% performance increase and also it’s a lot more power efficient then the 1080 ti with ray tracing as well
@@IcebergTech I just picked one up in the us, it's a cheep power house with it almost being a 2080, does decent in Ray tracing as well, but those are my thoughts I'd love to see the review eventually. Have a good one.
Bro i have that
Though its a dell version
But mine was new because my uncle just didn't need it for his rig
So he let me buy it for $197
Im from Philippines
@@IcebergTech Just picked one up for 200€ (and selling my GTX 1070 for 150€) as a 50€ upgrade.
A very reasonable bump in performance. Certainly more reasonable than modern 70 class cards (serriously: F the 4070 and 4070 ti price hikes)
I can definitely seeing you getting to be a very big Channel in the near future. Great narration and editing
and the music cut is way more bearable too! it not longer blast my ears
Love the humor/sarcasm injected into this tier list. Also, I love my (legacy) Sapphire Vapor X HD7970 Ghz Edition. As far as I know it's the same as the R9 280x. Those Tahiti cards were beasts and if the 3gb of Vram were 8 I'd still be running mine today. For now it resides in my daughter's gaming system. (Mainly for looks since she only plays roblox lol).
You are always pretty informative, it helps me fiddling with some decision of building my first PC lately, thanks Iceberg. Happy Holidays!
Missed the poll somehow but as ever your video didn't disappoint , thank you for all the great content , looking forward to much more .
Would like to wish you all the best this festive season for the channel and on a personnal level ! 👍👍
It's not long since I doscovered you however, I love this style of videos, please continue the way you do, it's really entertaining. Thanks for a great year and Merry Christmas to all of you here.
So glad i found your channel. Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year
Huge video. Tons of work! Still though, i can't help but feel something was a bit lost from letting folks do the voting. I come here for your opinions and thoughts!.. well that and the internet just put all the cards into two categories anyway :)
I personally got a 980 ti in my retro rig with a W3690 and it's a beautiful beast, I can play any game ever up to about 2019 at high/ultra @60FPS
My 980 stuck at 75% usage at 85-90°C on Red dead 2... don't how he manage to do 100% at 65° !
Just found your channel and have been binging your content last day or two and really impressed and disappointed I didn't make it here sooner
What a great adventure my guy has in! And it's been a hell of year for you Iceberg
I like the way you make your videos, the confidence in your commentary certainly sounds like someone that should have way more than 15k subs
Been following since around less than 100 subs. Great Video as always.
Would love to see and if the budget allows some more Rdna 1 Gpus
The 5700 XT is high on my priority list for 2023 😊
Subbed because quality work!
Underrated Channel, keep up the high quality vids 👍
You are by far my favorite PC tech UA-camr. I love that you test things I'm actually interested in. Like every other channel tests 4090s like yea okay I might buy one of those In 5 years but I could buy 10 of any of these cards right now and have a good time
Another great video, well edited and everything is crisp and clean. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good job man, really enjoy your perspective on computing and on what cpus and gpus are worth it to buy used for games in current year. Refreshment in a sea of tech youtubers that are disconnected from reality of the average player.
great video! love the channel!
I got to this channel at something like 2k subs, I am happy to see it grow. It shows that the hard work is paying off. 😃
Good year TubeBro!
been following your channel around 14k subs because your presentation and the graphs were good especially giving details of the entry gpus who are very recommended in this year 2023... keep uploading sir i hope in the end of the year you will have 100k subs God bless.
Nice video man! Where you put rx6600?
i remember switching from a gt 710 to a 960 last year it was like i was shooting myself in the foot after seein all games run 100% better
It hit me right in the feels seeing the R9 290X in S Tier, mine just died after over 7 years of service. RIP
Thank you for everything you do., Your channel is truly gold. Keep up the great work. Let me know if you'd ever care to test a Tesla M2090 or C2075. I have both lying around and would be willing to send them to you for shipping cost only from Germany. Granted, for the C2075 I was experimenting with the BIOS and would probably need to flash back the original before giving it back to you.
Fantastic video!!
Love your content, I to have a problem with loving GCN cards, you should do a video on the 12gb Tesla m40 and the Radeon instinct mi25, I'm currently using a 12gb m40 with a decent overclock, thinking about getting a Radeon instinct mi25 but haven't seen any videos on UA-cam of the performance, I just don't wanna waste $80.00 if it's not better then the tesla m40 😅
This year saw me owning four different GPUs, 2 green and 2 red, as I tried to get the better of shortage pricing! Here's the breakdown, just for fun. (For context, I live in Ontario, Canada, but I'll convert prices roughly to USD.)
•Jan-Feb: my trusty GTX 970 (EVGA SSC.) Bought this card way back in the first crypto shortage in 2017 for about $110, IIRC. It was about 1/2 market value at the time. Sold in Feb for about $190 shipped.
•Feb-Jul: a lovely RX480 4GB (MSI Twin Frozr.) Found this card for around $150 locally. Traded the 970 for this, and walked away with a small profit, and a newer and mostly better performing card! I also upgraded my PC from an Ivy Bridge i7 system to a R5 3600 rig at this time.
•Jul-Dec: a small but loud GTX 1660S (MSI Mini Aero ITX OC.) Found this locally for $110, which was an insane steal in July. Scooped it up, and sold my 480 in my old ivy bridge system for around $250 for the whole build. The 1660S still performs great for 1080p and kinda passably for 1440p, but my card was pretty loud, and some games struggled at 1440p. Still have this card, but will probably give it to a friend in exchange for some photography prints.
•Dec-present: an AliExpress Jieshuo RX 5700XT. Got this on sale for $145. It's allegedly new, and I can't see any signs of use, but it definitely could he a repurposed die. Either way, once undervolted and slightly OC'd, it's an acceptable volume, and it's BEEFY compared to my other cards. Often outperforms the 1660S by 40-60%, and roughly doubles the other two, give or take. I could easily hold on to this card for a few years like I did with the 970, but we'll see.
The 970 was a great pairing for my old i7-3770s system, and the 5700XT seems to similarly compliment my R5 3600.
It's fun to mess around with parts!
How are the temperatures and noise level on your 5700 XT?
haha had a good month as well
got the money and built a used pc, picked up a 1050 used for 70 bucks cad :)
no shortage now, 970 seems to be going for 40-50 bucks or so where i live in bc, canada
@@shehrozkhan9563 not bad now, but it was a bit rough out of the box. I have the triple fan card, for reference.
Out of the box, it had a death rattle under load. Turned out it was the shroud vibrating. I tightened some screws up and got that sound to go 90% away, so it's basically not detectable now.
The fan was also really loud, as the default curve is overly aggressive imo.
I undervolted my card to 1.025V, and set a pretty quiet fan curve. Card never really exceeds 75-78C & 45% fan speed, although the ambient temp is only about 19C. I could definitely turn up the fans a bit and drop the temps to around 70C without it being too loud, but I'm fine with anything under 80C personally, so this works well for me.
@@sparkyispog $40-50 for a 970 is a steal! Enjoy the build!
Excellent video man, i love the presentation of the videos, the soundtracks you use for the videos (what draw me to this channel in the first place), i love your channel man, also what sthe song used during the RTX-2060 Max Q to the R9 fury X?

@@IcebergTech thank you very much
Happy Xmas bud!
I'm looking at the 5600xt maybe, upgrading from rx460. Out does the 2060 & 1070, £170 on CEX atm, less chance of being a mining card vs Polaris.
Sounds good! I'm probably looking at picking up the 5700XT in the near future, it's £220 on CEX right now and even cheaper on eBay. Happy Christmas to you too!
@@IcebergTech the 5700xt appears to be ageing very well. i just don't like the idea of getting an ex mining card. my rx580 was ex mined (i had to change bios back), lived for about 3 months only :(
I bought a pre build computer with an quadro m2000 because of you :) I play in 720p so for me it's very good
The 970 was truly a legendary card despite the VRAM marketing issue. My good ol' 970 died 2 weeks ago after serving me for around 6 years. I had to replace it and considering the fact that I'm planning to buy a new PC I bought a new 3070 for relatively cheap price. Still loved how this card managed to be relevant despite all years passed since it's release. Keep up with the good content 👍
I hope to see a review the lowest end Kepler card in the OEM market one day.
The card is the (Halfling) GK107 variant of the GT 630 AKA The OEM GT 630 1GB or the HP GT 630 2GB both comes with 192(Halfling GK107, 384/2) Cuda Cores.
It be interesting to see if a bios swap to the GT 640 GK107 or the Quadro K2000's bios can allow for the entire silicon to be unlocked.
I get for your first tier list no one ideally wants to game on Maxwell or GCN in 2021, but 2021 was also 2021. Unless you got extremely lucky buying a reference model Ampere or RDNA2 card minutes after a restock, pretty much all GPUs were unaffordable for the whole year.
Somehow missed this when it dropped 6 months ago.
That’s why subscribing is better than not.
Have you ever considered testing the Radeon WX5100? It’s a strange one - most of the available used versions are pulled from Dell workstations. It has 8GB of VRAM and is clocked painfully slow to save power. Apparently you can edit the BIOS to make it pull maximum power from the PCIe slot (you can’t overclock it) and thereby squeeze more performance out, but I’ve never been able to get it to work.
You're right, it's been a hell of a year for the channel
I'm one of the fools who treated the P400 nicely on the poll, but it was because i mistook it for the Quadro T400. I wonder if others also made the same mistake.
I mean, the 970 for me is S tier. At the time it came out, the price to performance was insane. I still have one in a box. It overclocks like a dream and you can get one nowadays for like 30 bucks. That is ridiculously cheap for the level of performance.
When I sold my 6950 I have just bought a 4K monitor and wanted a brand new GTX 1080 for 4K gaming, but it was fresh and very expensive, so I bought a temporary card that at the time of purchase I regarded as a mere HDMI display adapter. It was R9 280X 3GB. And oh boy, that was the fastest display adapter I've had! Held on to it for longer than I anticipated, and eventually bought a 1080 Ti in 2017.
can you test the 6700 10gb? its reaching $320, close to 6650XT price
Currently rocking an rx 580 for a couple months, bought it used for $100 and just recently the price of rx 6600 non-xt in my country is only $170 used with warranty still intact, now i'm torn between upgrading or not
r9 290x is legend for real. its almost 10 years since it was released, but it still can do gaming very well for its price and age.
I think 2013 was last year when amd and nvidia was fighting for market and making amazing gpus. I had gtx 760 (70$ in 2019), for 200 bucks in 2013 this gpu still can do well in 70% of games, with 50fps+. Other 30% of games is require to buy new pc in case if you built it in 2010-2012
Awesome video
for the R9 series, Don't get the X series example like r9 200x series, these cards have memory artifact issues due it's forced overclock from the manufactures itself.
what i would love to see in 2023 is a comparison of the 1060 3 and 6gb in modern times, and a "EU Power price setup" where you take varius cards and drag the power target slider to the lowest setting and see what happens
Please make the best & worst igpus you tested
Reviewing budget tech is most appreciated m8
Wish I could have done this poll! Except I only know last gen rtx 30x0 and 6x00 and up lmao.
I went from a 6500xt to a 308012gb..... Thought I would regret the 3080 purchase but its been consistent prices around 999-1050 CAD since. I got mine for 999+ Tax
Merry Christmas!
Same to you!
The gtx 1070 actually isnt missing RT for a lot of games. Drivers were updated a long time ago for the gtx 1070 and 1080 cards to allow ray tracing.
As always, you do good job. You do goodly. Still Salty of the RX 6500 XT, you are. Funny, I find.
Always!
Have a happy holidays AND please keep up with the great content in 2023.
(I'll forego quoting any sayings about "the average voter".)
Still using a GTX 1070 and 1080. Great GPUs for 1080p.
funny how you said you cant find a hd 7990, but when i looked up one of the websites here in hungary where used hardware is a thing also, i saw a hd 7990 in the description of the sellers "advertisement". i guess im just lucky like that. but in other parts of the world, there could be more.
The hardest part of GFX card upgrades right now, is being a GRX1060 6G owner, and not knowing what to run instead for 144fps+ at 1080p... Budget is, obviously, as low as possible. ;)
What's the song at 18:46?
I am currently rocking a Zotac GTX 1070 with 8GB of VRAM, which was a VERY nice upgrade from my Gigabyte Windforce R9 290 4GB card. Going from a 300+ watt card that was being held back by the VRAM near the end of its life with me, to a 150-175 watt card that has anything from similar to way better performance, at roughly half the power use with double the VRAM was a nice very nice upgrade. These days I game at 2560x1440 and 75Hz on my primary monitor. I can push my primary monitor to 100Hz, but I have it balanced out to match my old 1280x1024 75Hz monitor. I am hoping soon to be getting my hands on a EVGA RTX 2080 Super soon. I have no need for running ray tracing, or really even DLSS, so the performance of those two technologies isn't of any real concern to me.
yes I also still have a 1070 from 2017 and is still a beast of a card. I love the card.
As a hobby pc enthusiast I've managed to collect an obscene amount of pc hardware, at least for the average user.
Currently I have 12 known working gpi's with my lowest gpu the GT 610 1GB DDR3 and my besst gou the XFX Radeon RX 6800 16GB.
Oddly enough my Sapphire X1900XTX 512MB GDDR3 outperforms the lower bit rate GT 610 in every single game because of the bit rate allotted to the X1900XTX.
The GT 610 is an ideal test gou for any pcie motherboard because it has dsub, dvi and hdmi connection's allowing the ability to test all hardware for a pc as well as old cables. It's been a great test card for all of my used pc part purchases.
Anyway, I genuinely have a soft spot for the GTX 970 as one of the most widely compatible graphics cards in the history of pc gaming.
From windows xp to windows 10 the gtx, on the right settings, can play everything produced before 2022
I want to defend r9 2xx series in some way. Their power consumption hevyly depends on clock speed and voltage we force them to run. I run my 290x 8gb @900/1250mhz 1,050v. Whole pc i7 2600k 4,4ghz ; 3x hdd; 2x ssd, 6x 120fans take 300w @ peak from the wall.
i Can't believe this good content exist!
You should review the AliExpress rx 5700xt and 6600 . As both of those could be had for 170-200 dollars
People are weird and makes no sense sometimes, "Meme GPU Ranking of 2022"...
bro, can I use i7-7700 with rtx 2060 ? actually I am researching about this for last 10 days but didn't gent any answer I have a pc which has i7-7700 and I am getting a second hand 2060 from a miner for $200 which is having 2years of warranty left but i am worried about bottleneck
Short answer- yes, it will work, and your 7700 should be enough to get good frames out of it in most games.
Long answer- the 7700 can push normal rasterised (non-ray traced) rendering at 60 FPS or higher in AAA games, and can get 120-240FPS in all of the competitive shooters and eSports I've tried with it. The RTX 2060 is more than capable of supplying those frames, at 1080P high and in some cases even at 1440P. However, I don't think you should think of this combo for RT. The games I tested - Spider-Man & Cyberpunk - both put a lot of load more load on the CPU when RT is enabled, and the i7-7700 will often struggle to hit 60 FPS in those cases, even with a more powerful GPU.
I’m glad that the worst tier list ever has returned again this year
I like how he was about to put the 6500 xt in F tier lmao
Perfect Bane impression 😆
NEW ICEBERG TECH VIDEO LETS GO!!! CAN YOU MAKE A DISCORD PLEASE ICEBERG!!
1080 tis are getting close to the $200 mark which I think is crazy. Maybe you could pick up one of those.
Saw some for 140 usd ( without shiping)
£220-250 this side of the pond.
@@IcebergTech and 200-240 without shipping here in france
@@IcebergTech Ah, rip. Hopefully they will come down soon though.
Agree with 290X there. Even though I have a RX 6700 XT on my main gaming setup, I still have a 290X on my second one and it's surprisingly good even today.
My 980Ti died last month. :-( Becouse of my stupidness to clean and mod a card under fiber illness. So now, i have a Black Beautiy in my old PC. She is called Arc A770LE 16Gb. She is a true follower for the good old card. I used every card of the 9xx Series for mining and gaming. Also today i use the blue one for it. She have to work minimum 5 years. I think i get the point again. This card is a beast. Way underrated. And the third new player was loughed out loud and hated. I think with a lot of remembering of hating us miners for not our foults high prices, the people should remember what they think about things, the have no idea in the most cases. People should learn or they should be quiet about price and mininers.
I run a 290x up until 2020 when I bought an RX580. The extra 4 gigs of ram helped but it was a worthless "upgrade" for the most part. I recently bought an RX 6700 non XT for $275. It is actually a very good card for 2023 under $300. Try one out if you get the chance. It is "supposedly" the GPU used on the PS-5.
I literally sold my R9 290X a month ago and got an RX 580 for the same price, haha.
Great Bane impression lmao. Redo the 4890 with community drivers! please. :)
I need community help!!! I have a TUF B365M-plus with the i5-9400F @2.90Mz w/16Gb DDR-4 2666Mhz RAM and a NVDIA GeForce GTX 1660.
I'm going to upgrade to 32gb ram, but I can't find a DEFINITIVE answer on what the best GPU my motherboard will accept!?!
Please help me! I REALLY want to play KSP2, but I don't have $3K for a high-end system!
Thanks
Thx for this
6500xt and 6400 seem decent deals on amazon around 160 and 130£ WITH two new games
this content deserves more subs
lol fury x got an A? was that from the 3 people that rated them well
I love your voice, i colud listen to you all day long👍
7:18 I thought I was watching roblox gameplay at first 😂😂😂
The 980 Ti being discontinued soon is making me feel old. In my mind, it's still relatively new. With that said, it's clear that we, as a people, are worse at GPU ranking than Iceburg.
Please include GeForce GT 210 1GB DDR 3 in 2023 videos by making GT 210 1GB DDR3 Vs. HD 630 (of i3 7100) Pleaseeeeee....
I just bought a 290x for 60 dollars Canadian. Absolute beast. I love it.
In Germany i actually did recommend the RX 6500xt because of was even cheaper than buying a GTX 1050 plus it was brand new
What gpu do you main?
I have an RTX 3070, which I'll probably keep for a while yet.
I found RX 590 for 65 and GTX 980 for 93 pound on used market,Which one should I buy?
The AMD card seems like the better choice. Performance in general will be a little better on the 590 than the 980, plus you get extra VRAM and don’t have driver issues with certain games. £65 is a very good price for a 590 btw!
@@IcebergTech Thanks for the replied! I guess rx 590 is the choice
I loved my vega 56 when I had it. It was a good card.
I love how I have been the reason he has to specifiy that the 900 series desktop gpu's are the oldest gpu's with full vulkan and dx 12 support. LONG LIVE THE GTX 745. pls do a video on it
In my country 1070 is the way to go with used cards and I will buy it for sure.
Pretty surprised to see the HD4890 still managed to be on this list considering how ancient it is compared to others on the list, and still be in the C tier. Makes me glad I got one when it came out, means my XP machine can always use that one without issues
The story behind the HD 4890 review is that I found one for sale for £3.95 delivered, and thought it might make its money back in AdSense revenue. As of today, that video has made £4.57.
Score! 😁
@@IcebergTech I recall some budget build youtuber, RandomGamingHD I think, grabbed a 1GB Powercolor one and tried OCing it, but wasted power cause PC already squeezed everything out of the card compared to the ref model.
You got a score in adsense, I got a reassurance I don't need to consider a 750TI to run XP era games maxed out. Guess this card is magical in unexpected ways.
