Yes, Borga would’ve won if it was an MMA fight and not a wrestling match. Couture knew he’d lose in MMA so he immediately tackled Borga and exposed his lack of grappling defense. May as well rename the company: Ultimate Wrestling Championship! UFC -> UWC
I want to see Martial Assassin Masters! UFC has always been full of amateurs with no stand-up striking-force techniques and no master-Aikido throw-lock techniques; every male (female division is cool) in UFC history and today have poor defense (can barely escape basic grappling holds or barely escape clinching timeouts up against the side cage).

Watching this live back in 1997, many folks actually thought this was an upset. Many folks thought Randy got lucky. Many folks thought he would lose at the next event to Belfort. Many folks thought he'd lose to the much younger Tito at UFC 44. Randy spanked him. Many folks thought he had no chance against a 6'8" 270 pound giant. It turned out, Randy beat all these guys.

This was a horrible match. Couture and Borga are not Masters, not even close! Borga can’t defend basic holds, and Couture has no MMA abilities, only wrestling/grappling basics! May as well rename the company to Ultimate Wrestling Championship! UFC -> UWC!
