The little ballerina doll does dollness so perfectly.
Do you know who she is?
@@MP-uc7pj Her name is Soo-Bin Lee, medalist of both Moscow and Varna IBC. She was given a chance to dance the principle role with Mariinsky in one of the performances a few years ago because she won the Vaganova Prix.
Even her eyes were spot on.
As someone used to the toy soldier instead of the bear, the bear was a hilarious surprise
just thinking that. I was surprised with a bear (it is not traditional to me). i was expecting a toy soldier.
LOL SAME
in the local productions by me it's always been tin soldier, then sugar plum fairy, then rat queen. Interesting how it's different other places.
In Boston it's traditionally a bear but I have seen other productions with a pair of toy soldiers. I have never seen the mouse king before though
yep!
the ballerina one locks in place so perfectly! it’s so satisfying to watch her :0 she acts like an actual doll
I went to The Nutcracker on December 1rst and the ballerina doll we had was just perfect too, seeing it live was something else
Imagine dancing in that bear costume
ikr
I wouldn’t be able to “bear” it
Who is that in the costume?
How does he see?
exactly lmao i almost died with just a heavy headpiece. imagine the costume
Can we talk about how much height the harlequin doll got on his jumps like HOWW
OKAY BUT THE BEAR IS SO FLUFFY AHHHHHH!
Sometimes the bear will come out before the theater opens to waive to the kids who are coming to see the show. It's so cute.
@@kerryfenton4177 if I was a kid I’d run away
The Marionette ballerina even does the pointed angles in her arms, she bends her wrist and her arms like... that's... this is amazing attention to detail! Definitely best I've seen and I've seen a lot!
I absolutely adore this version of the toys dance. The dolls movements were incredible, and the others did a fabulous job as well. Out of all of the Nutcracker performances I've seen, the Boston Ballets choreography was my favorite.
Everybody making jokes about the bear but nobody gonna talk about how high that split was when they jumped
yep
and in that heavy suit too?
the doll dancing was so beautiful
That woman dancer looks like a real marionette! She is the best for the role I’ve ever seen.
Loved the 3 dances, absolute surprised by the bear. Amazing ❤
The ballerina one is incredible! Everything I’ve seen from Mikko Nissinen’s Nutcracker has been phenomenal!
Absolutely the best version of the Nutcracker I’ve seen. Wish they would sell the full version!
I've seen it twice but now I've moved out of Boston. Wish they would sell it too :'(
I think this is the best Toy Dance I've seen.
All of it was just breathtaking
Impressive dance they're doing especially the bear because that bear got some moves, you go Teddy 👍🏽😎🐻
I love how much life the background characters have, it adds so much to the performance!
what a masterpiece. beautiful costumes, amazing dance skills. just like a fairyland.
Everybody’s commenting so much on the dance but can we just take a moment to appreciate the doll’s costume design??!?!? Like it’s literally the best doll costume I’ve seen
Best dancing toys EVER!
Amazing jumps of arlequin and the doll makes the roll perfect about the bear ufff so cool ❤how does he do all that with that big costume IMPRESIVE!❤❤❤❤
i was a doll this year in my studios nutcracker! i had the best time. rehearsals were the best!
Omg i love this so much you don't understand ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow they are all so talented
이수빈 발레리나 볼수 있어서 반가웠어요^^
보스턴 발레단의 호두까기인형에는 커다란 곰인형이 나오는게 특색있네요
when a bear dances better than me lol
Instead of a bear, my studio does a soldier and rat doll, so I was very surprised when the bear popped out!
Great performance, but anyone else came here from that meme with the bear? 💀
Oh the costumes are perfecttttt
the bear, the best
Last year my ballet teacher taught us the doll variation then let us watch it and the bear variation after. It’s safe to say everyone (5 people including me) in my class that we’ve all watched it again at least once since.
Edit: today for our last class before winter break we got to borrow our teacher’s laptop and taught ourselves the bear variation. We could watch it all we want and modify things to make it a bit easier just we had to keep the walkoff. We have determined it’s really hard and we should appreciate the bear very much. The people before us loved it before class and then said “how dare you give (teacher’s name) the idea.” I believe the people in my class just appreciate it even more
who plays the harlequin in the boston ballet? he is magnificent.
Love this so much ❤️ thank 😊 u🥰
I’ve never seen it set in the Regency era before, that’s pretty neat
ok so i’m playing the scary toy soldier doll in my studios nutcracker this year and i am now going to make my dance teacher put me in a bear costume
WOUNDERFULL😍😍😄
Nobody talking about the jester?
Why does the bear have chicken legs?
So you can see his lines better lol
good job
Ohayō, isso foi tão lindo, I love ballet!🧸
2:20 おおおおおおおおおおおおおおおおお!!!! これだよこれ!
2:20 aaahhh!!!!! this, this is it! (??)
And to the Teachers and corografs amazing Job how do they do that❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Молодчина ❤❤❤
i love the bear, and not even the Bolshoi has a bear
La versión del oso, me dejó sorprendida wtf
Harlequin was incredible
2:20 クマーーー!お前だったのか!
❤
The bear 😂
Is it just me or do I like the fact that the Harlequin has a slapstick? I think traditionally in commedia d'ella arte (sp) the Harlequin had a slapstick to change scenes.
Could anyone let me know the name of the song for the bear? I’m obsessed!
Anyone else recognize Joy Womack in the back there?
💯💕💕💕💕💕
3:00-3:05 suspended in the air. Push off from your back foot.
Would be good to know the name of the dancers
Does anyone know what the style of the ballerina’s dress is called
O urso quase acertou as crianças sentadas no sofá kkkkkkkk

At my studio where I dance we do Spanish dolls instead of a bear
1:00 - 2:10
I found the bear meme😂😂😂😂
Also I wonder if its a boy or girl in that bear costume 🤔
Based on how high they jump, my guess is it's a man
животные из макдональдса никак не дают покоя, уже и в Щелкунчик их, бедолаг, засунули)))
Was so good til the creepy bear came out 🤣
2:25 In my nutcracker this was a soldier help
Это медведь? какой страшный!
I don’t know. Baller seems like one of those things which makes the dancers suffer and sacrifice too much for the sake of entertainment if the others. It feels like the dancers are exploited.
im in ballet myself, all the dancers who audition for the nutcracker or any other show enjoy it, its never forced on anyone atleast at my studio. we love working our hardest and bestest for things like these
you could say that for so many things. ballet is just another artform and career in this world.
why do teachers have a job in teaching when they have to also suffer and sacrifice themselves and their time for children? it’s because they need to make a living and find comfort in working with children.
why do singers go on ten flights in a month to perform at concerts? they voluntarily put themselves there and need to make a living as well.
ballerinas can be exploited, but that happens rarely and only when ballerinas are pushing themselves to get a higher rank.
