There was a large storm drain and culvert near my childhood neighborhood with a nice, long straight shot in it and really clean exit and entry. Good times right here.
This is awesome! Reminds me of when I was a kid, and we would pitch one of those explorer rafts in a creek after a heavy rain. We got stuck on a high rapid one time and the raft stood straight up in the air for a while before we finally slowly got over it. The creek eventually slung us over to the bank. And a contractor gave us a ride back to my car. Thanks for filming this epic video!
@ARCavingandOutdoors My friends and I used to do that too when our creek would flood. We would ride it clear out of our little town and then hike back. When I look back I think of all the branches and debris in that water and realize it wasn't very safe to do that but never had an issue. Yeah, parents didn't give a damn what we were doing in the 80's.

They shut down beaches and surrounding waterways when there's heavy runoff due to the high levels of toxins, pollutants etc and these guys are playing in it. 🤦🏽♂️
Imagine you walk for like 15-20 mins until the end. Then you start riding.. after 10 mins you get suspicious. Shouldn't it be quicker on the way out? Another 10 minutes pass. You start to get worried. Then another 10 and another. Surely you must be out by now you ask yourself. The tunnel was just a straight line how have I not reached the exit yet? Terror starts to build as the water level slowly rises. Yet you continue your endless descent into an ever filling tunnel.
Maybe tunnel has 2 ways..when you come up,you choose first way..When you descend you accidently slip into second way and get into catacombs,2 hours straight sliding down while water lvl increases..You eventually get into the darkness of endless descend.
Yeah it’s rain water run off,., but it’s running off car chemicals and anything that’s on the road or wherever else the water is coming from. Still not bad as most rivers I guess. No way Jose. That’s probably 10% dog, cat, and bum piss.
Don’t forget the poo!
I was a beach lifeguard in college. Our OCEAN water would be closed by the city after big storms for how much poo was tested in the water.
I can’t imagine how filthy storm runoff is.
@@richardglass3182
Is your city's storm water and sewage system combined and are there any near by streams that drain farms?
@@johnperic6860 Well, in many US cities not every residence is on a closed sewage system that gets treated, many have septic tanks/field lines. That plus any other agricultural or otherwise random contaminated runoff
@@mattgraham4340
That's why I'm asking my question dude, lol.
Also septic doesn't cause sewage runoff unless it's been mishandled and not cleaned.
"It's only rainwater" LOL, and EVERYTHING that goes down the sewer with the rain water! Disgusting.
natural selection taking its course right here
Not discounting the danger of the drain itself, did you see how frothy that water is? You have any idea what "rainwater run off" in a municipal area actually has in it?
This is exactly the kind of thing Ed, Edd n Eddy would discover and call “The Amazing Water Park Ed-venture” and then charge all the kids 25 cents for a ride.
This is so specific, and I love it - too true!
Gotta get those Jaw Breakers somehow
If i remember right there actually is an episode where they ride in the sewer lol
I loved that show but it frustrated the fuck out of me that they never got the jawbreakers
Lololololol
Me and a buddy crawled a few 100 feet back in a water treatment plants discharge pipe. It was only about 3'in diameter though. It was pitch black and the floor was covered in slime. We lost footing and slipped out of that thing so fast! Fun times over 20 years ago! Enjoyed the video guys!

I don't know how you'll take this, but this is the type of things Gen X did. Explored and made our own fun, even though it was generally dangerous if you made a mistake.
I'm glad to see there are still young guys not afraid to explore have have fun where you find it. I would have loved it. Lol
From a 58 year old man from Gen X.
Great video. 😎👍
I'm a "boomer" and we did stuff like this as well. I suppose young men have been doing these things since time immemorial. An American kid in his teens to mid twenties is a national treasure.
@@thejerseyj5479 There's never been such thing as differences between generations.
From boomers to gen x to millennials, to gen alpha, its always just been the older people hating on the next group of young people for being young and growing up like they once did.
As a millennial, my twin brother and I went with our Gen X older siblings to explore the storm drain system in our old neighborhood where we grew up. We even went to the Terminator 2 storm drains which were near our old neighborhood (before the movie came out).
@@princessmarlena1359 I'm in college and lately I have been exploring flood drains. The best part is, despite when the weather is close 100 degrees, the tunnels are very cold.
@@Ilikefire2793 your wrong, but not in the way you might think I mean.
There's definitely things different between each generation. Someone in the early 1900s couldn't go speeding down a lonely road for example, cars were barely a thing. Now you see a bunch of idiots do it for thrills, and in 100 years I'm sure some idiots will be flying faster than they should be at night.
I've wanted to do this since I was a kid. Respect for recognizing the dangers but actually doing it.

Lol I mean it would be fun if the pipe and water were clean
I don't want to seem like the pessimist here, but that was stupid. The garbage, chemicals, bacteria, and who knows what else that could and most likely is in that water. All it would take is one open wound to cause a serious infection that could be potentially life threatening. Be careful...but does look like hella-fun!!! 👍
Uh-huh,....yes pretty crazy and kinda stupid, if it were me,...I'd have worn sturdy rubber gloves, maybe a wet suit to protect all exposed skin. They said they studied it, made sure the hazards were minimal. People do die from a single spider bit, or a brain eating amoeba.
i remember when i was a kid, my friends and i would ride our bikes through the storm drains. long before cell phones to record it, just a flashlight, great memory.
YEAH! That was aweso-and there’s a needle in my ankle.

Did your research, did a walkthrough, calculated the risks. Love to see it. Heard too many stories of people not being so careful.
No matter that it’s rain water. That water is touching the streets going down old dirty pipes. That is a nasty thing to do god bless you guys 😂
