Imagina que eres un cristiano en la época de la persecusión profesando tu fe en una misa dentro de una catacumba

What time period did this hymn come about if it is early Christian - also where did this specific chant originate from

It's from the Book of Psalms, psalm 109 (or 110, depending on how you organize them). The psalms existed before Jesus appeared, and before the Torah/OldTestament was compiled, so they are very ancient. The meaning probably has layers of significance, not just literal, but also symbolic/esoteric surely. Also, Vivaldi composed some beautiful music for this. Look for "Vivaldi tecum principium, dixit dominus". Enjoy 🙏🏾

This psalm the way it sounds here, it sounds quite typical to Orthodox Christian chant. Orthodox Christians are Eastern Christians as opposite to (Western) Catholic Christians. Most of Eastern Europe is Orthodox. Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Georgia. And yes, Orthodox Christianity appeared first, it was later when Rome Christians (Catholics) wanted to separate from Constantinople Christians (Orthodox). I don't dispute the origins of this kind of music, but it has pretty strong Persian and Indian influence. Rome took some of its influences from these sources, especially Eastern Rome (Byzantium) did it, Byzantium - the cradle of Orthodox Christianity.

The original, preserved and never changed christianity is orthodox christianity. From Aramaic, Greek till Russian. Western christianity (katholic, protestant. Etc) is a sideroad.
The first christian church existed before written Scripture, from oral tradition. It is basically the church that Jeshua(Hebrew& Aram)/Isho(aram&logically this format let to the Islamic deceptive version of Jesus named Isa)/Jesus (latinized) has build.
