@@ShawnKoh Hey Shawn, how goes? :). Yes, the Mirra 2 took some breaking in for me, but is great now. Be great to see the differences with the other HM chairs as well :)

Herman Miller has spent decades refining their meshes and I feel its the best ones out there. It has enough support but also flexibility so that it isnt too stiff. Ergotune’s is fine but i suspect it won’t last as long and wi begin to sag. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for :)
@@ShawnKoh i am an owner of multiple Aerons. I resell quite a few to make some money as well. Prefer how the Aeron classic feels when your bum hits on it because it has the hammock feeling to it due to the tilt angle on the older classic model. Currently my daily driver is the Aeron remastered and i sold all my classics away just because of the 12 year warranty and though the seat feeling is diff from the classic, the mesh on the remastered is better in terms of breathability and design. Feels more sturdy as compared to the Classic Aeron's mesh. Classic Aeron's mesh seems to be softer and feels more prone to sagging, but of course i doubt it will sag since its tested with time. In terms of ergotune, I subscribed to a credit card and will be given a free ergotune haha... but thats like 3 months away. Just for fun to get that free gift, i am sure i will sell that away.
I have a friend who has the Mirra 2 at work and he says it's not worth the expensive price tag, as the quality doesn't match. I still want to try it out for myself before I make a final judgement.
Try it out at the stores, in my opinion, herman miller chairs are one of the best in the world, and if you want the best, you'll have to be ready to pay for it.
@@ShawnKoh I went to his office and tried it out for myself, it's 100% worth the price and the best chair I've ever sat on. I think he felt it didn't look premium in terms of aesthetics, but I disagree on that entirely. However, he did acknowledge that it's a top tier chair and why it's pretty expensive, once I showed him what it excels at. Edit 1: I did order one for myself and it arrived a few days ago. I've been loving it so far, but I've had some pain in my outer thighs if I sit on it for a long amount of time. I'm not sure if it's down to the seat not being big enough for me or whether I'm not sitting on it properly. I will see how it goes for the next few days, if I continue to get leg pain I'll exchange it for the size C Aeron. Edit 2: I ended up returning the Mirra 2, since the leg pain did go away when I learned how to sit better, the but the seat pan still felt a little small. I ended up getting the Aeron size c, and it's been absolutely amazing so far. The seat pan is generous and I have had 0 leg pain issues since buying it. I did initially get some discomfort in my back, but it's subsided over time due to my posture improving.
Thx for the video - I’m on the fence between the 2 (both refurbished) and trying to decide if the extra few hundred should be spent or saved Also curious what your desk setup is? I have an uplift desk with custom ply top but would love to build something a bit nicer like yours
I have been a Mirra 2 user for 4 years. I bought a remastered Aeron (C Size) last month. After using it for 1 week, I have back and lower back pain. I returned the product. The Mirra 2 is a better chair than the Aeron, at least for me. I think the fact that the Mirra 2 is a concave seat has a big part in this.
@@StardustLegacyFighter The Aeron's back is just a net. Mirra has a plastic pulley that supports the back and shoulders, and also makes a big difference in stretching movements.
@@muratttt006 I've used both as well, and tbh I like both backrests. The Aeron doesn't have a flexible frame like the Mirra 2, but it doesn't stop me from reclining back and stretching however I want. Even though I returned the Mirra 2 and got the Aeron size c, I still love it and would recommend it to anyone.
Does it also push you feet off the floor when reclining like Aeron and embody does? Do you have any thigh pain issues with this chair? Looking to switch my Embody to it (had Aeron too, but I feel the frame in the front with my thighs)
That's strange, my feet don't lift off the ground when reclining in the Aeron. I think you might have the seat height set incorrectly, as I do remember having the same issue, when I first sat in the Aeron and hadn't finished adjusting it properly.
Another thing is...if u buy the Aeron and Mirra 2 in Singapore, it is not true that the Mirra is cheaper. There is not only Xtra that sells herman miller. Other parallel importers sell Aerons much cheaper than the mirra 2 and most Singaporeans buy from the parallel importers instead of Xtra which cost like $500 to $600 more. Warranty wise is similar, just that the parallel importers will be the one helping you with the warranty. It is the same as well in the USA. If people were to buy from authorised dealers instead of Herman Miller directly, they will save big margins like 40 percent off the listed price by Herman Miller.

Thanks so much. You're one of the few people who talks in depth about seat comfort, which is the most important thing for me. Would you say Mirra 2, Sayle or Embody has the best seat comfort? How does it compare to the Steelcase Think? I have an old Think V1 that I'm looking to upgrade to either the Remastered Aeron or Mirra 2. Which one would you recommend?
Well I think both chairs are great, but the Herman Miller feels like a stronger built. It feels like it has the strength to support you. On the other hand, the Think is lighter, more flexible and fits into smaller spaces. So it depends why you want an upgrade, if its to get more support then yes the Aeron or Mirra 2 is a great option.
Hey! Thanks for the support! I have not yet tested the Sayl, but from what I observed, has similar features and adjustments except for the different way it adjusts the seat depth as well as the lack in an adjustable lumbar support. I do like the minimalistic profile of the Sayl back, if you want a smaller and less bulky chair. But for me I prefer the Mirra 2 for the lumbar adjustment and also the aesthetics of the design :) But then again, Sayl is cheaper hahaha
I used a Sayl at my former work for 4 years. Didn't have the lumbar support and didn't really notice it being a good chair. I have the bad habit of sliding a bit down as time goes time, so I was pretty much horizontal position. I was way thinner and didn't have back problems like now, but my experience with Sayl wasn't great. Just ordered a Mirra 2, but Triflex and not butterfly as the one shown in the video
After sitting interchangeably on Aeron and Mirra 2 I would say that Mira has better seat, but worse backrest. The lumbar support on Mirra does nothing for me and there is not enough sacrum support. Long story short, Mirra 2 gives me back pain and Aeron gives me thigh pain, choose your poison I guess.
With regard to the Aeron, have you tried lowering the seat a bit? I found out that I get thigh pain only if the seat is too high (knee stacked over ankle).
