Beautiful dresses! I too love an unfussy black dress (cotton or linen) for the summer for an air of sophistication. Broidarie was a great choice! This is a long weekend here in Canada (officially Victoria Day Weekend) and I'm sewing things for my daughter. I'm hoping to get them all done so that I can start on some things for myself. Stunning dresses Sarah, you’ve done a fabulous job and the fit looks great! Really need to make the cinnamon daisy dress now - thanks for the reminder 😜 try putting your fragile dress in a pillow case or lingerie bag, which will help it. What about the Tatb swimwear one, paper cut or closet core? Helen’s closet sandpiper have good reports but not too sure on others!

Loved the cottesloe and i am a 20/22 ish. I did ignore the elastic recommendation length as i had added length since i am a giant. I used the adding swimwear elastic tutorial by patterns for pirates here on YT and that was super helpful. Hope you get some good alternatives in the chat that match what you are looking for.

That is super helpful to hear! So maybe I have a go at the Cottesloe with some cheaper fabric and see how I get along with the P4P tutorial 🤔 thanks so much for the advice 💕
