Our Voices: A Student-Led Candidate Forum for the Next Superintendent of Washington State Schools is more than a showcase of the candidates for the Superintendent of Public Instruction; it is also a platform to center student voices, experiences, and priorities, and help shape the future of education from student perspectives.
Co-created by a passionate team of students from across the state, this event offers a unique opportunity to hear from the three leading candidates for the role: David Olson, Chris Reykdal, and Reid Saaris. Witness students in action as they design and orchestrate an engaging and informative forum that brings together their own diverse perspectives and innovative ideas for the future. You’ll gain valuable insights into the candidates’ visions for education, explore pressing issues facing our schools, and experience the importance of centering youth leaders in education work.
