Oh my. I could not stop laughing about poor little Chippy. I'm sorry that was the funniest saddest most traumatic thing a poor bird had ever had to live through. Oh dear. It sounded like a cartoon. I once gave a budgie a heart attack trying to clean the bottom of the bird cage with the vacuum cleaner and felt horrible, as it had died from the experience. For one the bird wasn't mine and two I was 9 years old trying to help a friendly neighbor clean their home.
